Hard to go wrong with James Marshall and Daniel Pinkwater, wonderful author/illustrators. I read this book to my kids when they were little -- now got a copy to read to the grandkids, who were equally delighted. Another favorite my James Marshall is "Space Case."

This book is one of those that remain funny no matter how old your kids get. I laughed out loud the first time i read it, and I still do. This is so much fun to read to a child who loves to be silly and has a great imagination!
