Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Rogue Classic Spider Resonator Black Squareneck
I purchased the Rogue Classic Squareneck resonator from Musician's Friend via Amazon and had to return it for defective workmanship and poor quality. If you are looking for a "quality" resonator at an affordable price, this would not be a good choice. The unit arrived with good packaging, but one of the covers for the sound holes had fallen out. Minor issue. Once the guitar was tuned, several immediate problems surfaced. The tailpiece vibrated and was not correctable by placing foam under the support or tailpiece. The spider bridge would not hold either the 1st or 6th string in place when playing. The nut on the head stock was uneven thus the strings were not level enough to play properly. Several screws on the resonator cover plate were loose.
This would be a good do-it-yourself project for somebody who wants to put the time and effort into getting the guitar up to snuff, but there is a time/cost issue. To get this guitar to the same level as a more expensive guitar makes the issue moot. I will highly recommend Musican's Friend to anyone who wants to purchase an instrument - they handled the situation professionally and quickly very much to my satisfaction. |
