I was hesitant, simply because of the price. But I wanted something that wasn't expensive, to get myself back into bass playing, since it has been almost 20 years since i picked one up. So I figured at this price, it's just about disposable anyway, so even if it was just horrible, at least it was SOMETHING, and didn't cost hardly anything.
So I was pretty surprised at what I got for this price. Feels good, decent action, and sounds better than I had anticipated.
Now there were a couple of issues, two of the four knobs are problematic. One is loose and spins without actually moving the peg on the rheostat, the other one just isn't set in well, and bottoms out on the surface of the guitar when fully seated, as if the inner equipment wasn't properly secured inside to get the shaft to come out all the way. Both still work, I just put a little bit of wadded up paper inside the one to raise it up a smidgen so it no longer scrapes the body of the guitar, the other one I filled with some wood glue a bit, just so that it would settle in around the grooves and solidify, to make it grip rather than just spin. And wood glue so that it will do this, but still let it pull off when I want.

I didn't even think about the strap though when I purchased it, so make sure to grab one separately and don't space it like I did. Found a nice yellow "Police line don't cross" one that will be fun for playing around the house here.

My first time with a 5 string, since I used to play a 4 string when i lived in Germany, so this will be a fun toy as I learn some new things.

Came right on time,I ordered the Black one and isn't it a beauty. My only problem is my hands are too small to play it. It's well worth the money and I'll purchace some 4 string from this company in the future for my grandsons.

I was suppose to get a white bass but ended getting a black, because the picture on the screen had a pic of a white bass and so i ordered it. waiting almost a week to get my bass just to get a black one!:(
