I am currently deployed over seas, got this bass thinking this will give me something to learn while i am gone! And i have had it for about a month had a friend teach a few notes, and how to tune it! I will say alot of people think the pearl white is amazing looking and i have to agree! It is easy to handle not to heavy, and is very user friendly! I am currently learn everything with it, but its hard cause most instructional videos are for a 4 string Bass Guitar, so have a hard time finding 5 string instructions and lessons. But still an amazing bass!

The output level of this bass is so low that it is impossible to use for recording purposes. The tone is incredibly noisy with any amount of high end dialed in. There was extreme fret buzz on the first fret. It is practically impossible to play the higher frets. If you have a real interest in playing music, go ahead and spend a bit more to get something that might have some real use for you in the long run.

This bass is really great. It is lighter than most, and the pearl white looks beautiful.
The only con is the controls, they are really cheap, as if you try to change them with the the bass plugged in the amplifier you'll get a lot of scratch noises. But it's really easy/cheap to replace them.
At the time of this review it is unfortunately out of stock; I promised to get one for my father.

very fast service. this is a grate bass guitar for the price! sounds grate out of the box. the pearl white is fantastic looking. i like this bass guitar so much i bought 2 more in the 4 string bass guitar red and black.

Great 5string bass guitar for the money. The only con is that he fingerboard is actually one piece of wood painted to look like two. Still it has a great sound and it comes with an instrument cord. It also came with free fast shipping. A must buy

I've played guitar for many years and wanted to try out the bass. Not wanting to invest a lot yet, I chose this bass (my daughter had the 4 string version and I really liked the tone of hers).

For the price, I don't think you can go wrong. It get 5-stars not because it sounds and feels like a Fender P-bass (it doesn't), but because it's very playable and hasn't decent tone. People can't believe I got this new for $100! Perfect for entry level playing.

I lowered the action a bit and got a little fret buzz on one fret. I was slow and careful (!!) and fixed that up. (other new players may be OK with a bit higher action). Get someone who is good at setting up guitars if you can.

The neck pickup has plenty of soul. I only add a little bridge pickup for character (it sounds pretty weak by itself). All user preference of course.
