5.0 out of 5 stars The Rogue Prince, July 14, 2008
This review is from: The Rogue Prince (Lords of the Var, 4) (Paperback)
Var Commander Prince Reid loves being in space. Especially being in space at the Galaxy Playmates Mansion. Reid's twin brother Jarak stopped at the mansion to give the crew some down time before they continue their journey to Nozando. Reid has been asked to make a presentation to the daughter of a scientist on Nozando. The presentation goes without a hitch and Reid finds himself back aboard his brother's ship getting ready for takeoff. Later in the evening, one of the ship's crew comes to Reid and tells him a woman wants to see him. Being the lothario that he knows he is, Reid sets out for a seduction. He thinks the woman wants a quick affair, but couldn't be more wrong. Reid unknowingly comes face to face with his future. She turns him down. Unable to believe she didn't want him, Reid is a bit perturbed but doesn't dwell on his romantic failure. The next day, however, Reid is in deep trouble. It seems the woman from the night before has snuck aboard the ship prior to its leaving and now he is stuck with her. Reid can't stand the thought of this woman being with anyone else and so claiming her as his, Reid sets out to plan the seduction of his life.

Jasmine, Mrs. Dr. St. Claire, is desperate. She has only one chance to escape her brutal husband. Married four years to Chad St. Claire, Jasmine and her husband are the perfect couple in public. Private is another story. Covered in bruises but skillful at hiding them, Jasmine pleads with Reid to allow her to come aboard and leave Nozando. The asinine man assumes she only wants sexual favors and when she turns him down, she has no where to go but back to her husband. Arriving back home, Jasmine is dismayed to see her husband home and he is not happy with her. Jasmine's punishment is delayed when, thankfully, another doctor comes and whisks her husband away for a night of drinking. Jasmine has no choice now. She has to leave tonight and she does so by sneaking aboard Prince Reid's ship. Luckily for Jasmine, no one finds her until the next day. Not understanding the feelings Reid inspires in her, Jasmine thinks that something is wrong with her. She couldn't be farther from the truth.

The Rogue Prince, Book 4 of the Lords of the Var series by Michelle M. Pillow, totally captured my attention. Laughing at Reid inability to accept failure where women were concerned, I almost felt sorry for him. I enjoyed seeing the mighty man fall and fall he did. Nothing could have been sweeter than Reid realizing he wanted Jasmine in his life. Convincing Jasmine took a bit more time and I could understand her reluctance. She had more willpower than I would have had.

As with the other three Lords of the Var books, The Rogue Prince by Michelle M. Pillow combined futuristic elements with a great romantic storyline and the plot just flowed. I am looking forward to reading book 5 of this series!

5.0 out of 5 stars Another winner in the Lords of the Var series, August 7, 2007
This review is from: The Rogue Prince (Lords of the Var, 4) (Paperback)
The Var prince named Reid is great, he is fun loving, loyal and honorable but also vain & confident about how hot he is & how the women just fall into his arms. Then he meets Jasmine who is running away from her abusive, control freak husband. Of course he immediatly thinks she is coming on to him, they all do, finally it dawns on him that the unthinkable has happened, he despartly wants a women that does not want him.

This was such an enjoyable book to read! I've really enjoyed this series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Out of the series THIS IS THE BEST ONE!!!, July 23, 2008

The Rogue Prince (Lords of the Var, 4)

Prince Reid is loving spending a little time in space with his twin brother. They are on their way to give a speach for the galaxy doctors, when Jasmine sneaks on board. She is tired of being the worthless and much more of a wife.

She's sick, really sick and requires medicine for her heart. Jasmine and Reid spend quite a bit of time together on the ship since there are no other rooms for her to sleep or stay. The desire for her is so strong Reid takes complete responsibility of her. She is wanting to be dropped off at any planet to get away from her husband.

They eventually come to Quirilixen and Reid takes her to his home...let your mind wonder on this one....

Does he keep her? Does she escape? Does her husband come for her?

READ IT!!!!

This book was special as most of the other books in the series they fought and you would automatically know that they would make up. This book kept me wondering til the end.
