This is my first guitar, and before today, I never even held one in my hands. I wanted an inexpensive instrument to mess around and see if I even liked the guitar before I took the plunge. It looks great, seems well made, and believe me, I examined every inch of it. I used an electronic tuner and an online tuner (to get an idea where the note should be), and I had it tuned up in about 20 minutes, and that included going back and retuning to notes as I tuned other strings. I have music experience, so that may have made it a little bit easier. I strummed on it for a little bit, then checked the notes again, and it was still in tune. I did not hear any string rattles or wierd vibrations. I am very hapy with my purchase and it sounds great.

Not a Gibson, but for $75? Heck yeah!,

This is the ugliest guitar that I own, but it also gets played the most. I bought this guitar about a year ago in a 2-pack from another online store. The other instrument that came in the set was a student mandolin. I bought the set more for the mandolin, and I didn't even really care that I also got this cheap POS that I would probably never use. Boy! Was I wrong! I play this guitar almost every day!
I own about 10 guitars and basses. One is a project but the other 9 are all very playable and range from student models to mid-grade guitars, so we're taking in a range of $75 to $800 instruments. Of all of them, I find myself playing around with this one the most. Why? Dunno. It's always within reach. It has a very comfortable body style and feel. Sometimes I don't feel like dealing with cords and amps to play electric. Sometimes I feel like beating up on something, and I don't want to take it out on my other acoustic (a nicer Dean spalted maple top). Often, I'll play for a few hours and switch guitars several times in a night, but I always seem to make time for this one. In short, for the price, this is a great instrument to viciously beat on, and it holds up very nicely. Mine required very little set-up work and stays in tune well. I do not really care for the machine heads, but it is not worth the money to put expensive parts on a cheap guitar. All-in-all though, this is a great instrument to bang around on, and required little maintenance after the initial set-up. I have a great time with it. Thanks for reading. I hope you find this review helpful. If you do not, then please leave a brief comment stating what you were not satisfied with or what kind of information would have been more useful.

Showed up broken and to late to get a new one in time for Christmas. If it had not been broken it was probably a good value.
