VCI Entertainment and Supreme Pictures present "Rogue of the Range" (1936) (digitally remastered), long running Johnny Mack Brown series turned out in the early '30s...the story line has Johnny Mack brown robbing a stage beating the other outlaws to the punch...Brown tells the stage driver to charge this holdup to "The Rogue of the Range"...the outlaws chase Brown and his hard riding close-ups are something to behold... next scene we see our hero saving a damsel Phyllis Hume in distress only to find her Grandfather didn't make it...Johnny Mack gets himself thrown into prison, but alas he is really an undercover government man trying to get a lead on the gang operating in these parts and their headman...Lois January is Brown's love interest and they are great together in every scene...Alden Chase is the leader and he is getting wise to Johnny Mack and the sheriff Horace Murphy, and soon discovers things aren't what they seem...Chase tips off Jack Rockwell that Brown is a spy and needs to be dealt with...will the final showdown have a brawl in the cabin hideout...well don't leave the theater until Johnny Mack Brown asks Lois January to marry him, now he's in real trouble.
