The Rogue Warrior returns in another laugh-filled and exceedingly violent adventure. This time our hero and his team initially are after money launderers, but they soon have their hands full with a colleague’s son trapped in a Saudi jail. A rescue attempt leads to the young man’s rescue but blows an undercover CIA operation. To make things right, Marcinko must cooperate with the alphabet agencies he despises. Of course, the government representatives he’s working with could not care less if he or his team live or die. They also don’t care if he knows the real reason behind the secret operation. The bullets fly as fast as the punch lines. After all, the fictional Marcinko, a kind of James Bond figure, is the greatest military hero who ever lived. Fans of the previous novels will love this one’s continued blend of violence and campy humor, and newcomers with similar tastes for mayhem and mockery will find much to enjoy. Just stay away from the meatloaf. --Jeff Ayers
