Book Description

April 1, 2001

THE LATEST ADVENTURE FROM THE #1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLING CREATORS OF THE ROGUE WARRIOR® PHENOMENON!

The Rogue Warrior is invading Germany with a blitzkrieg of bravado. His secret assignment: recover a pair of U.S. ADM's -- Atomic Demolition Munitions -- lost in the Rhine Valley. Yet, what begins as a simple SEAL mission explodes in his face when terrorists visit the cache site. With scandals at home and fresh hotbeds of political and military tensions igniting all over the world, America's diplomatic priorities are everywhere but eastern Europe -- and the Rogue Warrior and his SEALs must take matters into their own hands.

But not even Marcinko is aware that a cabal of ultranational extremists -- led by Lothar Beck, a billionaire defense contractor -- is ready to take advantage of the U.S.'s global distractions. Beck and his subversive cadre believe the time is ripe for their great nation to emerge as Europe's first superpower -- a true Fourth Reich. They have the money and influence to make it happen. And thanks to Cold War stockpiling of nuclear and conventional weapons on German soil, they have the arms.

Fortunately Marcinko has some firepower of his own, and the manpower to deliver it the way the God of war intended: with maximum prejudice and extreme efficiency. He and his elite SEALs will have to wade through tango cells of skinheads, neo-Nazis, Russian mobsters, and Middle Eastern terrorists before they get the scent of the real powerbrokers. But once they do, it's time to go hunting -- with no bag limit.

Editorial Reviews

From Booklist

Marcinko's Rogue Warrior yarns, always coauthored, always starring himself, are the purest kind of thriller around, with action, pacing, and hardware galore. This one begins with Marcinko and team "locking out" of an attack submarine to take out the yacht of an Arab prince, who bankrolls terrorists and has even provided them with nuclear weapons stolen from arms dumps the U.S. hid in Europe during the cold war. Marcinko, his team, and a West German general wind up on the trail of a rightwing German industrialist and a renegade German special-operations warrior. At trail's end, the good guys have the ADMs (Atomic Demolitions Munitions), and a lot of bad guys are dead or out of commission. This classic crowd-pleaser also offers yet more insight into the psychology of special and covert operations and yet more fight scenes choreographed by one who has actually done them, and it raises the disturbing question: Are nuclear weapons already in the hands of the perverse and peculiar? Great fun, more intelligent than you may think. Roland Green --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

4.0 out of 5 stars Marcinko has another winner!, April 2, 1999
The Shark man from the Delta is back again with another winner. This time: Option Delta. (Glad to see that he got away from the colorful titles) I've read every one of his books and have yet to be disappointed in any of them. Reading him is one of those can't wait to pick it up, hate to put it down and sad when your finished book because you end up wanting another story. As usual the book starts out fast and hard and won't let you put it down. Lots of action, intrigue and suspense. And of course Marcinko's hard nose descriptive, saying it the way it really is style that makes his fans love him so. If you love action adventure then Marcinko is a MUST READ. One book is all it'll take. All I have to say is I can't wait for his next book.

Another outstanding, highly motivational piece of Roguish action from good ol' Demo Dick, my favorite author. I had the pleasure of reading this book right after graduation from the USAF Security Forces Academy at Lackland AFB, TX. In retrospect, it's apropos that the main villain is a German, seeing how Germany is proving to be such an unreliable "ally" in our current War on Terror.
