Book Description

October 15, 2005
A busy merchant banker at White's Bank and a member of an Art Fund, Tim Simpson does not relish the thought of having to give a speech at a small art gallery in the tiny village of Highton under the pretext of helping out the boss's mate . However an ex-rugby player, Tim never runs from trouble and is always happy to help the locals, particularly when they are in a spot of bother. Tim happily sends off a couple of heavies, sent round by one of the bookmakers to Mr Goodston, his local bookseller, but his curiosity is aroused however, when it seems they were not sent chasing money after all. Further oddities occur when the murder of a researcher and the theft of several paintings lead Tim to the conclusion that something big is happening. But what is the connection?

5.0 out of 5 stars Rogue's Gallery....comments., June 27, 2008
This review is from: Rogue's Gallery (Hardcover)
This was one of those books that I didn't want to finish because I was enjoying it so much. The plot was a bit complex but interesting and compelling. As well, there was a lot of fascinating historical fact woven in to the fictional story. The character development was sufficient without wasting a lot of time on background.

An easy read without losing it's edge, this mystery novel has plenty of action to hold the reader until the climax.
