Gordon is my favorite folk singer,

And I particularly like this record.
Gordon has a great rich baritone voice and does some fancy guitar playing, even while he's singing. It has some old favorites as well as some I had never heard before. My favorite is "The Blackbird". It's night and this guy is just plugging along, his boat has sunk, his horse has died, other bad stuff has happened, and he has no place to go. A downer. But lighthearted, somehow, because it all rhymes, even within each verse, so it moves quickly. That's just one, you will probably like one of the others. Now if only Amazon provided a list of the songs I could keep writing. Doug M.

Gordon Bok is truly a gifted musician. In this album especially he enchants us with an old style of "Sea Music." while listening to this cd you will feel like a sailor on an old wooden ship. you can almost smell the salt air.
