Passion + Adventure = Rogue's Lady, March 29, 2002
This review is from: Rogue's Lady (Zebra Lovegram Historical Romance) (Paperback)
This is possibly the best romance novel that I have ever read, and I'm very sorry to see that it's out of print!
Our heroine, Juliana, lives in rural 19th century England with her two Irish servants. She is single and lonely, and has just been dumped by her fiance for her witchy younger sister. Soon, though, she meets the ultimate lover, a tall, dark, muscular outlaw with fiery Gypsy blood who falls for her simple charms. Their union and quest for romantic happiness is an irresistible journey for the reader. There are love scenes, to be sure, but they are not as explicit or long as in some other romance novels, which actually adds to the class and simplicity of this outstanding escape-read by Ms. Scotney St. James.
