I have been to Thailand and this is the same rice that is available there. This is a great all purpose rice with a wonderful taste and cooks up easy and has a fantastic fragrance. I would highly recommend this rice and plan on buying more when this bag runs out.
One other thing, this is a big bag, but rice is good for you and not fattening. Try substituting rice for mashed potatoes or bread or other starches and eat and live healthier.

I recently bought this roland rice, because it comes in 20 pound bags and where i live i can't get rice in that quantity. I found it to be very good, but requires a bit more washing then most, and is a little drier tasting. Nothing really bad though, just let cook for a little longer and its great! will defiantly be buying more.

I am not a rice connoisseur and the Roland Thai Jasmine Rice is the first type of Jasmine rice I have ever tasted. To me, this rice looks like Basmati rice (long and thin grains). It cooks pretty well (turns fluffy) and fast in the microwave. I add 2 cups of water for every cup of rice - and the cooked rice looks like cooked Basmati rice! The rice tastes good too although I have to say I prefer the taste of real Basmati Rice.

My diet is limited due to high blood pressure and severe allergies. Jasmine rice was recommended by my Doctor (he is from the Philippines) and he specified it come from Thailand. I eat unsalted rice three times a day and after six months I say it is still delicious! Also, my grandson is a chef at a local restaurant where they use 100 pounds of rice a week. He said to use only Thailand imported Jasmime rice from Rolands.

We've eating jasmine rice for quite some time. It has lots of flavor and great texture. But it costs around $8 a pound in local stores and supermarkets so amazons price is really great and "subscribe and save" make it even better. I've never tried to cook on the stove but it comes out delicious out of rice cooker.

Sticky rice is glorious...and owning a 20 pound bag is a little ridiculous, yet deliciously comforting. Good rice.

Product Description says:
"It can be substituted for domestic long grained rices for an aromatic touch and special flavor; An aromatic rice" I would say that: 1. It is a short grained rice! 2. Neither Fragrant nor Aromatic! 3. No flavor or taste at all! 4. You can find better "Basmati" rice in every local Costco for one third of this price!

I've been ordering this rice for a little more than a year now and the shipping is always prompt, the rice is fairly good and has always been delivered in good condition.

My wife and I have a Zojirushi NS-ZCC10 5-1/2-Cup Neuro Fuzzy Rice Cooker and Warmer, Premium White and eat this rice with almost every meal. This rice cooks really well in our machine and has a better texture than the stuff we had been buying locally. We've gone through about 25 pounds of this rice already, and don't plan to switch brands.

I'm not really a big rice person, but I love this rice! I use the "white rice" setting on my rice cooker, and I found that 2 cups of this plus 2.5 cups of water make for perfect rice! I've had the bag for about 6 months now, and haven't even used half of it yet. If you even eat rice once a week, no reason not to buy in bulk and save money!
