This really is Macademia nut oil -- the reviewer who says it isn't is mistaken. Mild nutty taste and high smoke point make this a great replacement for canola oil when stir frying and other high temperature cooking requirements.

I use this as my stir fry oil. It appears to be healthy. I have been using it regularly several times a week to enjoy stir fry. I have been on a weight loss life style for about 15 months. I have lost about 68 pounds and between this and coconut oil I eat fried food averaging about 1.5 times a day. I have gotten off all my meds except Warfarin and my blood work came back last week mid normal range normal. for 20 years before this I had tried to avoid fried food. I was on blood pressure and cholesterol meds and things were getting worse instead of better. Macadamia nut oil and Coconut oil have worked better than olive oil for me. It's not cheap but it works for me. I am also eating more and walking 5-7 miles at least 5 days a week and I eat several pounds of black beans a week along with lots of lean pork, beef, mixed vegetables and salad from my garden. The salad (and 2 past DVT's before this lifestyle) are the main reason I'm on warfarin.

I read about this in the Four Hour Body by Tim Ferriss, and though I doubted nut oil could be a winner with my salmon & scrambled eggs (I don't eat them together), he was right. This is great. Not only does it work great with eggs (as I already mentioned), the salmon doesn't stick to the pan!

Go for it. Good stuff!

I use it on my face as a moisturizer. It helps shrink my pores. It absorbs in about 10 minutes. Love it

This is the best macadamia nut oil i have found so far. The price point is a little higher than other macadamia nut oils out there, but the quality is worth it to me. This oil is cold pressed. It has a very mild flavor and smell. I use it to make mayonnaise, and sometimes as a cooking oil. As others have noted, the reviewers who are saying this is not macadamia nut oil are wrong. They were most likely confused by the words "cold-pressed" and "extra virgin", thinking that these are terms which only apply to olive oil. They are not. I highly recommend this oil.

Read about this being a great healthy and tasty alternative to olive oil. Tastes more buttery than most oils while maintaining a very healthy balance of unsaturated fats. Great tasting and healthy, high quality for a great price. Recommend to any chefs out there.

This oil was okay. I thought it would have a more buttery taste but it didn't. It was fresh, so that was good, but I expected it to be more flavorful. Perhaps I'll try a different brand of macadamia oil but for now I'd pick the Roland grapeseed oil over this or some Nutiva coconut oil, or maybe some peanut oil that hasn't been refined too much.

The product is good. This is cheaper than I can get at the grocery store. Macadamia nut oil has a slightly sweet tinge to it and a high smoke point. I use it for pancakes and pizza dough mostly.

I don't see, taste or feel any difference from the cheaper (but in a plastic bottle) Swanson brand Macademia Nut
Oil! It's that this one is more expensive and comes in a metal can!

The labels state this is macadamia oil. The words "virgin" and "oil" are used, but not "olive" in describing the contents. Some reviewers seem to have misread the label, but you can check for yourself in the images supplied here. Its an understandable mistake: we're all so used to seeing "virgin olive oil" that our brains fill the word "olive" in automatically, I think. I certainly read it several times to be sure!
