5.0 out of 5 stars Pretty in pink!
I did a little research and found that pink clams were a rather high-end item served at finer restaurants, so I summoned the courage to order these and WOW, they're great!

Open the can and you see a neat single row of totally fresh pink clams packed in water. The taste is mild, and they're maybe a bit chewier than other clams, but they're great. Eat 'em...

2.0 out of 5 stars Too Tough
I like clams, but these are too tough to eat! I guess I will have to dice them up and add to a chowder! Not good for a snack or used for a meal.

Eat 'em out of the can or put them on crackers. Someone who knows what they're doing could make great appetizers out of these things. Hooray for pink clams!!

I took a chance, and ordered these clams to see what they were like. They are wonderful, large and whole, neatly lined up in water. Taste is lightly clammy, refreshingly sea-like. Texture is tender, not overly chewy, unless you cook them too much (I use them as is or gently heat them during preparation). Very pretty, with a pink muscle mantel protruding from the body of the clam. They do have a bit of grit in the digestive area, but it is not bothersome.
