Book Description

Star to cell series August 1, 1997
In 1981, musician/composer and acupuncturist Fabien Maman conducted a revolutionary sound-cellular biology experiment showing the impacts of acoustic sound on human cells. He found that through a series of acoustic sounds, he could explode cancer cells, as well as energize and empower healthy ones. He also found that healthy cells changed shape and color according to the pitch and timbre of each note, and that when cells felt a 'vibratory affinity' with a certain note, the cells' aura transformed into a mandala shape of vibrant color.
Websters' Dictionary sites Maman as the founding father of vibrational sound therapy. Colleagues in the music and medical field simply say he's a genius and visionary before his time.
This book documents Maman's research with over 100 color photos showing for the first time under microscope that acoustic sound can revitalize healthy cells and destroy cancer cells. Maman also offers his specific music protocol to take full advantage of the healing power of acoustic music to bring human beings into harmony with nature and the cosmos.

Editorial Reviews

Review

"This book, amazing and passionate, describes a fundamental research which finds an astonishing application in cellular biology. A new axis for exploration is discovered which should certainly interest the medicine of the future." --Rene Gandolfi, MD, Founder of the School of Pragmatic Anthropology, Paris, France

"This research may turn out to be one of the most significant and exciting discoveries of this century." --Subtle Energy Magazine

"Fabien Maman's provacative work is nothing less than a call for the realignment of man with the cosmos through the medium of sound. By virtue of its pragmatic basis, his research is a significant contribution to what is clearly needed as we eneter the 21st century: a new theory of music, founded on an understanding of the effects of sound on the listener at all levels, not just the aesthetic or emotional." --John Burke, Composer

About the Author

Musician and composer Fabien Maman is considered the founding father of vibrational sound therapy, according to Websters' Dictionary.
After a successful career as a jazz musician, in 1977 Maman became an acupuncturist, linking music with acupuncture. He created the now famous system which uses tuning forks and color light instead of needles on acupuncture command points.
In the early 80s, Maman conducted his revolutionary sound/cellular biology experiments documenting the impacts of sound on human cells. For the first time under a microscope, Maman proved that acoustic sound can revitalize healthy cells as well as destroy cancer cells.
This became the driving theory behind Maman's work: that blockages in our subtle energy fields can result in physical illness if they are allowed to crystallize, and Sound, Color and Movement® are the most effective tools we can use to dissolve negative energetic patterns.
In 1988 Maman founded Tama-Do, ("The Way of the Soul"), The Academy of Sound, Color and Movement®, offering trainings for the evolution of consciousness using non-invasive vibrational techniques composed of Sound, Color and Movement® and Seasonal Harmonizing Concerts®.
For nearly 30 years, Maman has created research and practical applications to balance the body, mind and spirit through the subtle energy fields. He has created more than 30 techniques through the Academy, each of which too nearly seven years to test and apply.
Maman is the author of a series of four books: From Star to Cell: A Sound Structure for the Twenty-First Century. These books include: "The Role of Music in the Twenty-First Century", "Raising Human Frequencies", "The Body as a Harp - Sound and Acupuncture" and "Healing with Sound, Color and Movement - Nine Revolutionary Healing Techniques." His fifth book, just released, is "Accessing the Way of the Soul through Color." Maman, who teaches and lectures around the world, has numerous CDs and videos as well. 800.615.3675

This review is from: The Role of Music in the Twenty-First Century (Star to Cell Series Book I) (Paperback)
If I could, I would have given ten stars instead of five in rating this book. I read it more than once and enjoyed it more in the additional readings. I learned more and paid more attention to what the author wrote about music. Not only every musician or music lover should read this book but every person who is interested in his/her health. It explains why a person enjoys a special type of music and how it is connected to a person's health. After reading this book my love of music has become more intensified and more meaningful. This healing power of music has deepened my understanding of each chord and each note. It is a must-read book by all music lovers - whether one is involved personally in the creation of a musical composition or in the playing of a musical instrument or whether one simply enjoys listening to music.
