This is a really good start for Stefano. The song is fun, catchy, funny and it makes you want to dance and have a good day. The video is really good too!

Say what you will about Stefano's tenure on American Idol, he did have a nice voice. Stefano, additionally had one of the more 'commercial' voices on American Idol, regardless how his image was perceived. Where Jacob Lusk may have been too ornate and laden with gospel histrionics and Scotty's country roots possessed no huge room for pop crossover (no disrespect), "I'm On A Roll" is the perfect record for Stefano. He is positioned on this undeniably catchy song as a pop heartthrob with both hip-hop and R&B sensibilities, much how he was perceived on Idol. "I'm On A Roll" is by no means the second coming of pop, hip-hop, or R&B (what is these days), but Stefano sounds as hip as everybody else who is making records this days and using a prescribed formula. Verse, hook, tack on a guest rapper/collaborator and oh yeah 'auto tune.' The best line definitely has to be "My ex wants sex tonight," which is a relationship oxymoron? Well back to the point, Stefano may not necessarily be "on a roll" as the song suggests, but this type of record works for him and is the type of record most likely to draw attention to him commercially.
