5.0 out of 5 stars If you like coasters....Throgmorton is a friend indeed!
This is an excellent photo/fact-book for anyone looking to find that dream "thrill excursion". Any time roller coasters sneek into my day dreams I find myself, all too soon, browsing through these pages. Throgmorton is obviously a long time enthusiast, but doesn't go into the long (and boring) personal views of our "addiction". Also; a terrific...

3.0 out of 5 stars This is an excellent reference of roller coasters
This book gives you a complete history and reference of roler coasters of America. The reference goes alphabetically by states. It even gives you Canada! I enjoyed this book because I am a roller coaster lover.

I payed twenty for it at Tower Books, so this is a good deal! Bravo! Greg Shields

3.0 out of 5 stars Could have been better., July 5, 2003

As a member of the American Coaster Enthusiasts, this was the first book I ever bought purely on roller coasters. It tells a fairly accurate history of the roller coaster and, state by state, lists the major coasters (at the time it was published) in the United States. I was disappointed that some of the smaller parks and their coasters were left out. But overall a fairly good book for the coaster enthusiast.

4.0 out of 5 stars GREAT COASTERS DETAILS,POOR COASTERS PICTURES !, August 26, 1997

This review is from: Roller Coasters of America (Paperback)
The book is a must for any coaster fans like me,still it`s a desapointement for the B & W pictures,I would have prefer a book with full color pics, even if it ment paying an higher price. Since those thrill rides are always painted with great colors. The details about each coasters though...is worth the buy !!
