Heavy Duty Shower Curtain Rings – Polished Chrome - Clipperton RollerRings
Quality Design and Materials in RollerRings Shower Curtain Rings

No other shower curtain ring on the market compares to the quality and standards of the Clipperton Brand's original RollerRings design. With over 20 years of curtain ring manufacturing experience, the Clipperton Company will continue to focus on improving the quality and design of roller ball style shower curtain rings. Clipperton uses high-grade stainless steel that is only slightly magnetic, compared to others on the market.

Our Design

Clipperton delivers the best and most durable roller style shower curtain rings with RollerRings. The strength and quality standard of materials will hold up for many years to come. RollerRings design features include a perfectly designed clamp for secure closure to ensure the shower curtain does not fall off. RollerRings larger roller balls allow an easier and smoother roll and transition when opening and closing the shower curtain, and the spacing of the roller balls on the top is thoughtfully designed to ensure as minimal noise as possible. RollerRings eliminate any necessary tugging to open or close the shower curtain and have a stylish modern appeal that will go with any bathroom décor.

Original Manufacturer of RollerRings Shower Curtain Rings

Created and Designed in 1994 by owner Richard S. Tate, Clipperton is the original manufacturer and designer of RollerRings Shower Curtain Rings. Holding the patent for the majority of the past two decades, all others on the market are simply a copy of our original design.

High-Quality Polished Chrome Finish
Extensive Finishing Process

Our Shower Curtain Rings go through a finish process that ensures the highest standard of durability and resistance to corrosion. All finishes are nickel plated over a combination of brass and stainless steel materials to ensure that the finish will adhere to the rings and keep a new appearance for the lifetime of the product.

Large Oversized Clasp Closure

Our oversized secure clasp closure measures ½” and curves around the wire of the curtain ring to ensure a secure closure. RollerRings are not meant to be removed from the shower rod often. Instead, change the shower curtain by removing the old curtain from the hanging rings and replacing with new curtain(s) at your convenience. The large oversized clasp closures allow for easy removal of the old curtains, and lock new ones in place.

set of 12 shower curtain rings, shower curtain rings set
Sold as a Set of 12

Clipperton Shower Curtain Rings are sold as a set of 12. A standard shower curtain width or shower rods measuring 60” to 72” will require 12 shower curtain rings. Please note that if your shower curtain rod requires an extra wide shower curtain or a custom shower curtain that is wider, the rule of thumb is to install a RollerRing Shower Curtain Ring every 6” in the grommets of the shower curtain to ensure weight is distributed properly. This will ensure the best results for a smooth gliding curtain and a beautifully finished look.

Dimension and Sizing

The original RollerRings Shower Curtain Rings are designed to fit ¾” to 1-1/8” Diameter Shower Curtain Rods. The interior diameter of the top part of the shower curtain ring is just less than 1-1/2” wide with a ring height of 3”. The rings are designed to hold two shower curtains – a main shower curtain and an interior liner, if preferred.

Easy, Simple Installation

Simply open the curtain hook clasp closures and place through the grommets of the shower curtain and/or shower curtain liner, and securely clasp them closed. Slide each shower curtain ring onto one end of the shower rod and then replace the rod in the shower. For installation of an existing shower curtain rod, simply open the shower curtain ring from the clasp, then slightly stretch the shower curtain ring around the 1” diameter shower rod. The heavy duty materials used in manufacturing the Clipperton RollerRings will not snap when stretching over the shower rod and will conform back to their original shape.

Care and Maintenance

The high standard of finish and coating process that RollerRings shower curtain rings undergo ensures that they will hold up to any elements found in the Bathroom. Simply wipe down with a soft, damp cloth to remove any residue or build-up that may occur over time from the elements in the air in the bathroom and shower. Be assured that the materials and finish will hold up over-time.

Never a jam or tug when you slide back and forth your curtain. They are smooth on any surface. I have both a single curved rod and a standard shower rod with the extention so it has a bump in the middle and they glide smooth over both.

These rings are well-made and work great. Much smoother sliding than the old plastic hooks or metal rings with no rollers.
Based on the description, they are made of chrome-plated brass so should never rust. I checked this with a small magnet so I can at least verify that they are not plated steel, which tends to rust over time.

Since these rings are top-heavy, it can be a little frustrating when first attaching the shower curtain since the rings keep flipping upside down. But all is fine once the weight of the curtain is holding them right-side up. If you lift up on the curtain, some of the rings may again flip upside down.

There is about 1-1/2" measured vertically between the bottom edge of the shower rod and the bottom bend in the rings. This is the approximate amount of vertical space you have inside the rings for hanging your shower curtain. Some fancy curtains with over-sized grommets or a lot of material between the grommets and the top edge of the curtain may not fit (will drag on the shower rod), but most standard curtains should be fine.

As an added bonus, based on a little research, it appears that these rings might actually be made in the USA.

Color Name: Satin Nickel
After reading all the glowing reviews here, I was convinced that this is the best thing since sliced bread and ordered a set of rings.

I received the set a couple of days ago (fast delivery!) and the first thing I noticed was that some of the words on the packaging were manually blacked out with a marker, and try as I might, I couldn't decipher what was once printed underneath. This left me a little puzzled and made me wonder what someone had tried to hide, but it wasn't a big deal.

After I opened the package, I saw that the rings had little nicks and dark spots on them (from rubbing on each other in the package?). Those were not visible after I hung the curtain, of course, and no one will *ever* look that closely at my curtain rings again, but it detracted a little from my excitement.

Here's how they work: they are crimped on both sides of the sliding balls, to keep them in place, and the bottoms of the rings open like safety pins to let you attach the curtain, which is pretty good design. Can't speak to their durability, since I just got them, but I'm really hoping they won't rust.
UPDATE: I've had them up for about three years now, and not only is there no sign of rust, but they look and work exactly the same as when I put them up.

I hung them on my curtain rod and then attached the curtain. It was fast and easy, as expected. The curtain now moves smoothly, although not *that* much better than when it was on traditional rings, and certainly not as if carried by angel wings, which some of the exuberant reviews here made me believe. I was a little worried about the "metal on metal" sliding sound several reviewers specifically mentioned, but that's barely there.

All in all, it's a good product and somewhat of an enhancement over the standard rings. It looks fine, too, although don't expect anything breathtaking.

These Heavy-Duty Polished Chrome Roller Shower Curtain Rings are gorgeous and match very well with other chrome bathroom hardware such as a chrome shower curtain rod. Be aware, however, that due to the design and the roller-balls the rings are quite top-heavy. So your shower curtain will need to be heavy to keep the rings from flipping upside-down and the shower curtain should also probably not be very stiff. A little upward movement on the curtain will cause enough slack for the rings to flip, also). Adding some weights on the bottom-end of the rings would be quite helpful in keeping them upright.

Loved these rings (classy; stylish) especially with my new Crescent Shower rod (a lovely curved rod that actually gives you more room in the tub!)... Nice nickel finish that compliments the satin nickel accessories in the new bathrooms. They really dress up the look - being a designer, these "minor" details truly add up! I recommend this product with enthusiasm!

I was always annoyed by having to keep tugging the shower curtain little by little over the rod to open or close it. It also seemed like I had to replace my shower curtain hangers frequently for one reason or another.

This is a great invention because it makes the curtain slide along the rod with one easy pull, and these clips don't wear out or break. I've had mine for maybe 8 years.

A huge plus is that a vinyl shower curtain lasts much longer when used with these clips because you don't pull on it with so much force or keep tugging at it. (I also only buy vinyl shower curtains with the metal grommets, so that helps, too.)

Color Name: Oil Rubbed Bronze Verified Purchase
I recently purchased a new shower curtain and liner to redecorate our bathroom.
I was going to get the coordinating shower curtain rings for the curtain, but after
reading reviews about how they slip off EVERY time the curtain is pulled, I passed.

So, I decided to try these. They look a little odd, since I'm used to the big round
plastic rings. How can these odd-shaped things keep a curtain moving?
Well, they do, and do a great job!

The top where the roller balls are has a slightly raised place on both sides, so the balls
do not roll down to the bottom of the ring (you can't really tell that from the photo).
The clasp there pinches open, in the manner of a safety pin - you open it, put your curtain
on and re-pinch it closed. That was my biggest hesitation in trying this style - it looks like the balls
would just roll anywhere on the ring.

They do not have a lot of give. I saw other comments about them breaking easily, but I did not
experience that. I would definitely advise putting your curtain on the rings first (be sure the
flat side faces out and the latch side faces in towards your tub), then take your shower rod
down and slide all the rings over the rod. That was the easiest for us, and we had no broken rings.

I LOVE the way these look! The rubbed bronze appearance goes really wonderfully with the curtain
I chose (Miramar Shower Curtain), and they don't catch or hang on the rod.

They look much nicer and more expensive in hand than they do in the photo.
I would definitely recommend these, and I'd buy them again in a heartbeat.
