For the price, these skates are decent fitness skates. The 90 mm wheels and bearings provide a responsive roll. The skates are on the heavy side, but once you get rolling you sort of forget the weight. The frame is longer to support the 90 mm wheels, therefore these skates are less manuverable than say an urban skate with 80 mm wheels.

Purchased this with modest expectations. The brake pad wore completely out after 10 days and six short uses. Customer service at first did not respond to emails, fax, voice mail asking for replacement and noting the defect. I can't find the replacement pad anywhere else (sideways bolt vs. everyone else's bottom bolt).... A few days have passed since original review and, unexpectedly, the mfg has expressed me two new brake pads. Free. Nice. Go ahead and purchase this product and get some extra brakes from the mfg.

I regret that I didn't purchase these inline skates from Amazon because I may have had more options regarding customer service and problem resolution.

With this model you get more features for the money but as the saying goes, "you get what you pay for." Yes, the bearings are labeled ABEC 9, but they are sealed so you can't clean/lubricate them. They are listed as being Bevo brand but I have doubts that they would make that level of bearing as non-serviceable. Maybe it's their house or generic brand.

The insoles are paper thin which provided no support so I replaced them with memory foam insoles. Again, not something you would think would be necessary with their top-of-the-line model.

I originally liked the idea that the lower strap was not velcro like most other skates. When I first used the buckle/ratchet system, I was not filled with confidence regarding its structural integrity. I also didn't like the fact that at the tightest level it didn't secure my foot or make it feel locked in. A month into using these skates, my original fears were realized when one of these buckles snapped off the plastic molding surrounding the boot. I took a picture and send it to customer service and asked how they handled product defects. I was told that they would send a new buckle and screws. I was skeptical because they are secured with a rivet. Apparently the customer is supposed to drill out the original rivet and use the supplied screws to secure the new buckle. You can do that or spend your own money to send them to their offices and they will do the recalled fix and return them. I suppose I should ask for 2 buckles and multiple screws because I know it's only a matter of time before the other one snaps.

The skates came as described. Being an older past athelete. I wanted something that I could grow into. However I must admit that I had not skated in 20 years and had not inlined skated at all. With that said the product at this point is well made and of good quality. I need to be clear, this is not the best skate for a beginner. I would recommend this skate for an intermediate to high level skater.

I got my wish... I have quite a bit of growing to do in these puppies!!!
