I ordered these, and there was no size demarkation. They arrived in size XXS - far too small for my 7 year old son. I don't know how they determine which size is sent, or if it's just a crapshoot, but beware! We're sending ours back and re-ordering another brand where we can select the size or the size is clearly displayed.

Tough Enough for Boys Who Like to Fall....,

These pads, especially the knee pads, have been dropped on multiple times. They are badly scuffed, but our 7-year-old son is not! These pads have given our son more confidence to learn to roller blade because he is not afraid to fall. Consequently, he is aggressively testing his limits on the skates and his skill is improving dramatically in a short time.
After watching Disney on Ice and then the Winter Olympics, our son is keenly interested in skating. He reenacts skating scenes (speed skating, figure skating, humorous scenes, etc) complete with falls. The pads enable him to fall freely, even joyfully, as they keep him pain free. The pads are easy on/off - our son can mostly do it for himself. The knee/elbow pads have two attaching mechanisms: an elastic sleeve into which you slide the leg/arm, and velcro retaining straps for extra hold. He needs a bit of help with the final wristguard strap that wraps completely around the wrist. He'll soon manage this as well. The pads are clearly marked right/left so you put it on the correct knee/elbow. In addition to a good helmet, the only other item I would recommend are a pair of gloves (for beginning skaters). Fingers extend beyond the wrist guard and are subject to scraping during falls. In summary, we like this product. Our son likes it because he can learn to skate without fear of knee, elbow, wrist pain. We (parents) like it because we are confident that our rough-and-tumble son is well protected.

These are great pads for my 5 year old. He falls down all the time while using his roller blades and these pads have kept him injury free. He says falling doesn't even hurt with them on! They are very well made and should hold up to a lot of beating.

I bought these for my busy little 3 1/2 year old grand-son. So far, so good. I am concerned that the wrap around strap for the wrist pads does not fit all the way around his hand--like his hand is too big. EVERY other set I looked at was way too big so I was thrilled this set, ordered on-line, fit him. We use the set without the strap because the wrist piece fits over his hand quite well and offers the protection for his wrists I was looking for. This set is for a littler kiddo.

these protect those vulnerable areas (wrists, elbows, knees) when child plays on street with scooter, skateboard, bike. size does run a little big for advertised age.

Have used this product for a year now and purchased 2 sets for 2 children (aged 4 and 6). It's used for scootering, biking and rollerblading and offers great protection. The only downside is that shoes have to be removed to slide the pads on for knee protection but the straps are good and everything stays in place. We crisscross the straps in back to make them tighter for our daughter who is smaller than our son.

I got these for my 5 year old son along with his first pair of roller skates, they fir well and has room to grow, although he hasn't put them to good use yet, they look sturdy and should serve well. Very satisfied.

My 4 year old wanted to learn to skate...so that was what she got for her birthday along with the protective gear. We did not use the elbow pads yet, but the wrist guards and knee pads fit well. She still too nervous on the skates to have really tested them, but I highly recommend these for skating, rollerblading, or scooters.
