1.0 out of 5 stars perfect for a 1-year old but not much else, December 29, 2009
= Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Rolling Stone Drum King (Video Game)
This is the worst game I have ever seen. It is hard to believe Rolling Stone would associate their good name with such a product.

There are no real graphics at all, just a screen shot of a drum set in front of a continuous animated loop of a silly crowd with signals telling you when to hit the 'drums'.

It is obvious that whichever set of executives approved this game knows nothing about modern technology and cannot tell the difference between an animated loop and real on the fly graphics.

The strangest part of all is the pot-bellied, bling wearing, 'drummer' that is the star of the show. It is hard to believe that anyone would consider him cool or aspire to follow in his foot steps.

I must admit though, my 1-year old son loves this game. For his undeveloped motor skills and poor eye hand coordination, this game is at exactly the right at his level.

I am glad I only paid $4.00 for this game new.

1.0 out of 5 stars Nothing like playing the drums, February 17, 2011
= Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Rolling Stone Drum King (Video Game)
You can play with either a Wii Remote and Nunchuk, or two Wii Remotes. When I first saw this game, I thought it might be nice to play with no additional peripherals. I was so wrong. The easy mode is pretty much every other beat, which I think makes it harder to play. Medium mode was almost playable, but when you miss extra (like the crash cymbals) you get booed off stage pretty quick. In the most difficult mode the controls make no sense and are impossible. Also the game makes you put the Wii remote in your left hand, which was strange for me.

Basically, this game is a complete waste of money. Do not buy.

1.0 out of 5 stars Nothing like playing drums, January 3, 2011
= Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Rolling Stone Drum King (Video Game)
I have been playing real drums for over 20 years and I can tell you, this game is nothing like the real thing. Not even close. I guess it's alot like guitar hero but I have played that before and this is worse. It just doesn't make any sense and the graphics are lame. Do yourself a favor and avoid this game!
