My only problems are that the hub has a tendency to droop out of the mount clips. It doesn't stay as neat as in the picture. And the blue LED showing it is on is quite bright. I put some scotch tape over it and marked over that with a permanent marker.
The USB hub doesn't need a power source as long as your other items are plugged in the wall. I think you can buy an AC power adapter to use however I just ran mine off the laptop battery, makes for less cords. You can also store the USB cord under the laptop stand since it is so long. I just left mine wrapped in the plastic tie it came in and tucked it under the stand. Less cords and keeps my desk cleaner & neater!! Order this and don't look back, works great. I have 3 HDD plugged in and a USB mouse... my 2 other Mac USB ports are free for other items. LOVE IT!
My Bluetooth adapter, usb flash-drive, and headphone transmitter works great. Windows 7 automatically installed what it needed
Time will tell if it holds up, however it look well made, and for the price how can you lose.

Thought this would be useful on my desk, but it wasn't. Since it doesn't have it's own power source, it's underpowered and can't really see 4 USB devices at the same time. Read morePublished on November 10, 2013 by Radley

I plugged this hub into my Mac (Mac OSX Leopard 10.5). It does not charge or sync my iPhone, and it does not run my mouse or keyboard. Read morePublished on February 26, 2008 by S. Kallshian
