5.0 out of 5 stars Roman Stoicism, an informative guide, March 14, 1998
By A Customer
The book, Roman Stoicism, is particularly good if you want to LEARN Stoicism. The book explains everything about Stoicism, referring to what the Stoics have said and done. The good thing about the book is that it's very enjoyable though the subject is not of many people's interest. Every section explains something about Stoicism (Ethics, Christianity and Stoicism et cetera). And each section is divided into many subsections and in these, the concept is broken into the smallest pieces possible and each subsection concludes an answer even if you read it by itself. Begin any time, stop any time. Each subsection is about a page long, and they are all very good; the book is superb on the whole since the simplified concepts helps your comprehension of the Stoics
