This is a great book to read cover to cover or just reference for info and pictures. The pages are full of colorful pictures that do the information a great service. I bought this book after visiting Rome wanting to learn more about this city that is so full of history. This book has information on everything from origins of different architectural styles, emperors, lifestyles, social classes, and everything else you would want to know about Roman culture, architecture, art, religion,(basically the title says it all).
