Inspired my career,
This review is from: The Romance of Chemistry (Hardcover)
Mom & Dad bought this book as a Christmas Present, when I was 10. I had always been interested in science, but this book settled my career plans. It has little real chemistry, and not much biography, but it is a romantic look at the people and how they made great discoveries. Between this book and a chemistry set, I was hooked for life, and went on the get my Ph. D. in theoretical chemistry.
