It's real worth the 5 stars, because it has some of the best romantic songs by old blue eyes, and it's cheap if you look at the great amount of music you buy.
Sinatra sings hits of Cole Porter, Van Heusen, Irving Berlin, Antonio Jobim(brazilian, important to me), etc.

Here's some of my faves:
"Strangers In The Night" (of course), "Something Stupid" (better than the Robbie Williams version), "I've Got a Crush On You" (very romantic), "Something"(yeah, that Beatles tune and one of the faves of Frank), "Night and Day"(love that Cole Porter!), "The Way You Look tonight", "I get A Kick Out of You"(again Cole Porter), "Love's Been Good to Me"(SOO sad!), "Cycles"(also SAAD!), "The best is yet to come", "It had to Be You"(cool!), "A Fine Romance", "I've Got you under My Skin", "Have You Met Miss Jones"(yeah, yeah, Bridget Jones), "Fly me to the Moon", "My Funny Valentine(from Pal Joey), "Bewitched"(Pal Joey), "Summerwind", the three brazilian songs, "The Look of Love", "It was a very Good Year"(so nostalgic) and "All the Way".

50 Songs with a fair price is quite rare, so-BUY IT NOW

Being a sinatra "fan" is a bit like being an Elvis Presley Fan. You've got "new" albums almost everyday. Most of the songs you already own, and there's little or nothing new to add.
But, then again, you say to yourself: "What the heck, perhaps it has better sound, or, well, if not, I'm having a different set of songs this time" and you buy it.

With this CD, happened to me more than that. It was a gift from Ma'Mama and, inspite of being from HER, and being 99% (hey, she's my mom, I can't be all objective) objective I must rekon that this Compilation has something special. From the very beginning (the Package), everything seems so perfect... I can't almost believe that I'd become so fond of a collection whith no tracks that I didn't already had.

My personal recomendation is that you buy it. Yes, you will tell me, another marketing thing, and, I will tell you "may be" but, at leasr this one is nice.

The songs are perfect -though I would have included The Girl From Ipanema (Garota De Ipanema), one of my Frank's Favs-. I cannot find any complaint with this CD.

I have to give this cd five stars.
It is souch a nice listen to, especially on nights.
My favourite song from the album is of course "Cycles".
I think it is the best song from Frank.

It was surprise to me that i liked this cd so much,
because i also love Abba, Army of lovers, E-Rotic, E-Type, Kylie minogue and Alcazar.

This cd can't be disappointment to anyone!!

Frank Sinatra on this double Cd goes over some of his most romantic songs he has recorded. Theres some real gems here like "Strangers In the Night","They Cant take that away from Me","Misty", "All The Way" (w/Celione Dion) and all these songs just make you realize how important this man really was. I have all the box sets and stuff from Columbia,Capitol,Reprise & Qwest But this is a great introduction to the younger generation to show them what real good music is all about and what better way then with this FRANK SINATRA ROMANCE DOUBLE CD... 5 STARS WITHOUT A DOUGHT!

This 2 disc set is an incredible value. Meticulously digitally remastered to the extent that one would swear it was recorded just the other day. Great songs mostly recorded from the 1960's(some before, some later)arranged by the best of the era. Frank's early alumni, Nelson Riddle, Billy May, Gorden Jenkins, Don Costa etc. are well represented. Fascinating colloborations with Jobim, Quincy Jones, Deodato, among others provide some novel surprises. All that team up with Sinatra create musical gems of the highest standards. Frank is a graduate from the school of hard knocks and his life experiences provide masterful interpretations from his heart. No one can deliver and phrase these amorous tales of heartbreak, joyful frolicking, and love gained and lost, like he does. It's the first day of class for contemporary crooners the likes of Tony Bennett and Michael Buble, for Sinatra owns these songs. 50 songs on two CDs, you've seen the tracks, it would have taken five LPs to accomodate this set. So splurge a little! You'll be glad you did, whether your with that special someone or drowning your sorrows away from a love lost.

I highly recommend this 50 track collection. It contains some very hard to find songs from hard to find and out-of-print Reprise albums. However, the 3-cd set with the bonus cd "Live in Paris" is a better buy if you don't already own that one. The sound quality of the 2 cds is good! (I don't know if it has been newly remastered, it does't say anywhere on the cds or booklet.) This collection is a 2002 Reprise release.

This is my first Frank Sinatra cd. And after this one, i began to listen to jazz. I bought it because i thought he is good looking, i admitt it. But i didn't expect that there are so many good songs, like "love's been good to me", "a fine romance", "come fly with me(live)", the three bossa nova songs, etc. I don't know if there are two different version of this one, but i got a limited version, and there are actually 3 cds, two for the songs you can see in the list, the third cd is the Frank Sinatra live concert in Paris.
