About the Author
Barbara Bloom has degrees in both Fine Arts and Graphic Arts and continues as a professional in both arenas. She is equally proficient with pencil, brush, PhotoShop, and Quark. Garry Cohen (co-author, poet, and map maker) has a degree in English with graduate work in creative writing. When he's not at a waterfall he works as a computer graphics consultant. Both Barbara and Garry have been residents of Oregon for over 25 years and have spent much of that time visiting the natural wonders of the Northwest. They have visited every one of the waterfalls in the book multiple times.

The 252 page work combines the best of a hiking book, coffee table book, nature book, art book, and a work of poetry and literature.For each of its 100 featured waterfalls, it provides a photograph-like pencil drawing, complete directions, time and distance, map, description, nearby attractions, hazards, accessibility to the physically challenged, view and kissing spots, picnic areas, restrooms, historical trivia, and a poem. Introductory and reference sections offer advice on weather, children, pets, and safety, and information on local wildlife and plants, the Chinook language, and phone numbers for reservations, information, and emergencies.
