Romancing The Runway, February 22, 2009
This review is from: Romancing The Runway (Kimani Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
Xavier De Marco and Kennedy Bassett are both supermodel who own the runway.
Xavier has been smitten with Kennedy since they had their first photo shots together. Xavier ask Kennedy out for a date and was turn down due to a previous engagement. Although Kennedy was upset because she was unable to go out the first but when Xavier ask the second time she jump at the chance to go out with him. For Xavier that was dream come true.
With any story there will always be somebody trying to come between the couple and this is not different, but you will see that Kennedy can hold her own. For Xavier & Kennedy not only do have to deal with outside forces but the media as well.
This was a good book and I would recommend it.

A good read, a strong 3+, April 5, 2009

Supermodels Kennedy and Xavier seem to have it all--hot careers and each other. But crazy schedules and unruly paparazzi threaten their fragile new relationship. Can their soul-deep connection be enough to guarantee a picture-perfect ending?
Ms. Smith introduces two extraordinary characters, both of whom are in the modeling world. Kennedy is exotic, level-headed and wants that big break in the business. With a hectic schedule and travelling throughout the world, she barely has time for herself; let alone male companionship. Kennedy is kind hearted, but is forced to toughen up because she is dealing with some manipulate, vindictive women in this business. Can you say cat fight? Xavier is sexy as hell and boy do the women know it. Xavier is good in the bedroom, kitchen and his career. Who wouldn't want a man like this? His character is mature and caring, but his past discretions tend to catch up with him at the wrong time.
In ROMANCING THE RUNWAY, I found the main characters interesting, but not real exciting in the beginning of the story. I didn't connect with Kennedy and Xavier until the middle of the story. At midpoint, I found the plot convincing and I actually got into it. I found the excitement came from the cat fights among the female models and Kennedy, when I wanted more excitement among the main characters.
The settings are exotic and mesmerizing, featuring locations from around world. It was easy to imagine lying on a beach, in that fantastic swimsuit, basking in the sun. The love scenes were sensual and enjoyable. The secondary characters brought the twist and excitement needed to complete the storyline. Jealousy, envy and the paparazzi definitely plays a part in your life in this type of business.
Overall, it was a good read and I would recommend reading it.

This was a great story about 2 supermodels building a loving relationship and those who are trying to come between them due to jealousy. Kennedy and Xavier are made for each other and go through some misunderstandings due to the jealousy of a former rival and one who refuses to take no for an answer. I loved this story. Great read!
