About the Author

Amy Reiley was the second American to earn the title Master of Gastronomy from Le Cordon Bleu and was named one of the five best female wine professionals in the world of 2005 by France’s Wine Women awards. She is the author of Chile Aphrodisia and Fork Me, Spoon Me, and has written for Daily Candy, Gault Millau, Las Vegas, and Variety. She lives in Las Vegas.

More About the Author

A passionate aphrodisiac foods advocate, Amy Reiley has combined her vast culinary education with a life long ardor for all things food to enjoy a celebrated career in a rather unusual niche.

In August 2004, she became the second American to earn a Master of Gastronomy awarded by France's culinary temple, Le Cordon Bleu. While at Cordon Bleu, Amy rose to prominence for her work in culinary aphrodisiacs. In 2006, Amy releases her first book, Fork Me, Spoon Me: the sensual cookbook, cementing her role as America's leading aphrodisiac food authority. Filling a niche in the cookbook market, demand resulted in the book's second printing less than two years later.

Through her company, Life of Reiley, Amy has found many avenues to promote her aphrodisiac knowledge and unique take on life's "consuming passions." The Eat Something Sexy website, www.eatsomethingsexy.com, and Amy's monthly e-newsletter, Amy Reiley's Aphrodisiac of the Month are considered the online authorities on aphrodisiac food history and science. She speaks and consults on the topic and has appeared on The Today Show, CBS Early Show, Nightline and even Playboy TV, (you will recognize her as the one wearing clothing).

But Amy's culinary knowledge is not limited to aphrodisiac foods. In June 2005, Amy was singled out as one of the five best female wine professionals in the world of the year by France's Wine Women awards.

An internationally recognized journalist, Amy has shared her food and wine knowledge in such publications as Variety, Sunset, Daily Candy, Los Angeles and Las Vegas magazines.

As the creator of Amy Reiley's Pocket Vineyard in 1999, Amy quickly established her place in this male dominated industry by introducing the world to the first comprehensive wine app for PDA's. In 2001 she launched the companion program, Amy Reiley's Pocket Gourmet, lauded by Newsweek as the first of its kind. Both the Pocket Vineyard and Pocket Gourmet were named two of Worth Magazine's "must have" apps in 2002.

Amy's second book, Chile Aphrodisia by Rio Nuevo press, was released in June 2006. In addition to promoting her books, Amy speaks and consults on various food and wine topics. She also runs Life of Reiley's boutique publishing company. Her publishing successes include Amazon bestseller Kiss My Bundt: recipes from the award-winning bakery. In January 2012, Life of Reiley released Amy's latest book, Romancing the Stove: the unabridged guide to aphrodisiac foods.

I loved the pancake recipe in particular - who know that these light and fluffy pancakes would be the best I've ever tasted?!

I love putting together gift baskets for engagements, weddings, anniversaries and of course birthdays. This book Romancing the Stove works every time and everyone loves getting it. It's fun, informative, silly, sexy, and has simply great recipes. I frequently highlight one recipe and provide all the ingredients to make and serve it. Sometimes I even make the gift a little naughty, but fun! The cover is terrific and sets the tone immediately.

I love every recipe I've tried from "Romancing the Stove." Many of my favorite recipes from this book are, in fact, my favorite recipes period. While I'm not usually a person who enjoys burgers or chili I love the 'coffee kissed buffalo burgers' and the 'chocolate kissed white bean chili' (maybe I just love being kissed?). However, my absolute favorite from this book are the buttermilk pancakes. You can do them with or without the whipped cream. Either way, they are SO amazing and not much harder than making pancakes with a mix.

I love food and trying new recipes. Yet, I find that the recipes in my bon appetit magazines mostly go unmade. Why? Because of the daunting list of ingredients and crazy number of steps. Amy Reiley's recipes never intimidate me. She stresses simple recipes using quality ingredients without an enormous time commitment. Love this book!

>> From the sexy cover to the chapter entitled Dictionary of Desire, this is one very cute cookbook. Amy Reiley, a well known authority on aphrodisiac foods, has gathered a gaggle of tummy pleasers from eleven leading chefs. All the recipes promise to light a fire in more than just the oven of the old Wolf Range. From soup (garlic soupe d'amour) to nuts (pistachio affogato), Romancing the Stove is a sensuous romp through the recipes of love and the ingredients of lust. I am not only giving a copy to a special friend for Valentine's Day, I have begun to take more zinc --the "man's mineral"!

I love Amy's new collection of recipes, which focus on making everyday life romantic. Aphrodisiac foods have been around for ages, yet Amy has made them updated and fresh with selections like chipotle-bacon-chocolate chipper cookies, sous vide salmon, coconut kaya jam, and oysters with tomatillo salsa. The original recipes are easy to prepare, but if you need to whip up something at warp speed, she's even included a "quickies" section. This book is perfect for the modern household, and the recipes will add some excitement to your stovetop!

Once again, Amy strikes gold! Love being able to get a female's perspective (as a man) into the further world of food, beverage and seduction. When is the next edition coming out?!? I can't wait!
