We first encountered John Tesh's holiday music on QVC. We have given this CD to so many people who initially scoffed at Tesh and his music, but were amazed to hear that they'd been listening to this CD at our home during the holidays, and had enjoyed it!

The CD is perfect for background music, or just quiet listening and reflection on a cold winter's night. I would recommend this CD to anyone who enjoys holiday music one doesn't hear every day ("Jesu Bambino" and "The Holly and The Ivy" should be performed more often,) performed by an amazingly good pianist who also surrounds himself with first-rate talent.

This is a beautiful purely instrumental Christmas Album. It is the kind of album that you can have playing in the background when you have guests over for dinner or you are just relaxing in front of the fire after a long day of shopping. At any rate, Tesh combines enough traditional orchestrations and original material to keep this CD interesting. I highly recommend it for your Christmas CD collection. It is one of my favorites.

What a most beautiful Christmas cd! John Tesh, once again, leaves you feeling in such a relazed mood....and most certainly in the Christmas Spirit!! Tesh, who plays acoustic piano on this cd, is also accompanied by an Orchestra. It's mostly instrumental, but there are three songs with choristers (The Paulist Boy Choristers of California). A wonderful blend of traditional carols (The First Noel, O Holy Night, O Little Town of Bethlehem, O Come All Ye Faithful, etc.) AND not so traditional carols (Gesu Bambino, Panis Angelicus, Bring A Torch, Jeannette Isabella, The Coventry Carol,etc), Tesh also includes a couple of his original songs (The Homecoming & In A Child's Eyes). After listening to this, you'll come to look upon every song as "Christmas music!"

This cd really stirs the soul. I've had this particular one for several Christmases now, and I never tire of it. It's always included in our Holiday celebrations. Perfect for any Christmas occasion....but probably most enjoyable by yourself or with loved ones, on a quiet, snowy night, as you sip on hot cider or Christmas coffee, snuggled by your Christmas Tree. This cd could very well add to what it's title implies...A Romantic Christmas...but it's also just purely serene and soothing. I'd highly recommend it to anyone. In fact, I usually purchase a copy each year, for friends who don't have it.

Something else I found interesting are the liner notes. Tesh explains the origion of each song...pretty cool. Also, as a Christian, I appreciated the scripture Tesh included in the liner. So, overall, I go away feeling better educated about the music, soothed, and of course, in the Christmas Spirit!

Let's face it, everyone gets tired of listening to "Jingle Bell Rock" and "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" for the umpteenth time, that's why this CD is so great. Lovely, low-key holiday music that you can play any place, any time to put you in that Christmas mood. I play this CD along with John Tesh's "A Family Christmas" at work, my clients love it. I've played it at my booth at Holiday fairs, again folks always comment on it. As for entertaining at home - it's perfect, non-obtrusive, back-ground holiday music. It makes for a festive mood without detracting from your party or family dinner. As for driving in holiday traffic - once again listening to these smooth tunes is always best. Like I said, this is a great holiday mood setter and money well spent. You will play this CD over and over for years to come.

THIS IS A VERY EASY TO LISTEN TO CHRISTMAS CD. THE ONLY THING I DID NOT CARE FOR WAS THE VOCALS. THIS IS ONLY PERSONAL IN THAT I DON'T CARE FOR VOCALS OF ANY TYPE USUALLY. BUT, JOHN LEADS HIS
ORCHESTRA IS SOME WONDERFUL MUSIC FOR THE MOODS OF CHRISTMAS.
I AM GLAD I PURCHASED THIS CD. I MAINLY LIKE MANNHEIM STEAMROLLER,DAVID ARKENSTONE, AND NEW-AGE CHRISTMAS MUSIC,BUT I ALSO LIKE THE TRADITIONAL MUSIC WHEN IT IS PERFORMED WELL, AS THIS IS. I WOULD SAY THIS IS A GOOD COLLECTION ADD-ON........

I have had this cd since it came out, and it has easily become my favorite Christmas album. I play it over and over and regret taking it off the cd cradle after the holidays. I love instrumental classic Christmas songs, and this one delivers the goods. It will get you in the holiday spirit in remembering the true meaning of Christmas. I even relaxed to this special cd during labor on Christmas morning! I am truly thankful to Mr. Tesh for the beautiful music, and the memories of the best present I ever received -- my daughter!

Simply one of the best Christmas cd's you can buy. Wonderful music to listen to as your wrapping gifts or for background music at your Christmas party. Beautiful orchestrations and wonderful arrangements. I just can't say enough about this cd. If you love Christmas music,you need to have this!!!!!!!!

I am not a huge John Tesh fan, but I do love this CD. In fact, this would be the second time that I have bought this particular collection of music. The first time was when the CD first came out, and you could only buy it on cassette tape! A decade later I have finally replaced it to CD and am delighted that I have. The whole CD is one that you can put in the player, curl up on your couch with some spiked eggnog and watch the fire burn down. It is an inspiring as it is relaxing, brings back memories of a quieter, and somehow nicer world than the one we all currently live in. It is not a piano pounding John Tesh, but the musical arrangements do have his mark on some of them. And this CD has my favorite rendition of Ava Maria. A mixture of classical, contemporary, choral and instrumental, I believe this is "THE" Christmas CD to own.

I play this CD every Christmas as I wrap presents. When my nerves are shot from Christmas over-activity, this music soothes the soul. Very beautiful.

When I order something online, I want to make the purchase, then have the product show up in a timely manner. This transaction provided all those things. I believe it does not get better than that.
