Each of the 30 patterns included is graded for difficulty (with most falling in the intermediate skill range), and for each there is a full-color photograph and both written and diagrammed instructions. The color photos accompanying each pattern are so clear that an experienced crocheter could probably work from the picture alone. Projects include place mats, coasters, pin cushions, napkin rings, tissue box covers, tablecloths, bread basket liners, bookmarks, and pillow covers. Hardcover collections of quality crochet patterns are few and far between, making this book a welcome addition to public libraries.

If you need a book full of great gift ideas -- or a diverse selection of projects you can make for your own home -- this collection is outstanding! Clear directions, a fabulous assortment and a great price for such a nice a hardcover book. I received this book three days ago and have already completed three projects: a bookmark and two small doilies. I've got my eye on starting several more - the Irish Rose napkin rings seem to be beckoning to me the most...
