About the Author
John and Paris are professional travel writers and photographers specializing in the Caribbean. The team contribute travel articles and photographs to many top magazines and newspapers.
In addition to their numerous titles written for Hunter, they are the authors of Caribbean for Lovers, Gourmet Getaways: A Taste of North America's Top Resorts, Texas Getaways for Two, Day Trips from San Antonio and Austin, and Texas Barbecue, named Best Regional Guidebook by the Mid-America Publishers Association. The couple are frequent radio and TV talk show guests and have appeared on several travel shows. Both Paris and John are members of the prestigious Society of American Travel Writers (SATW) and the American Society of Journalists and Authors (ASJA). The husband-wife team reside in Texas Hill Country, near Austin.

John Bigley is the coauthor of 26 guidebooks covering primarily the Caribbean and Texas. Along with his wife, Paris Permenter, John also contributes to many consumer and trade publications.
