An 18 yr-old heiress living in a golden cage. Mai's life turned upside down when she was whisked to his grandfather's palatial estate. There she met it's young master Feng Jin, the expected successor of her grandfather. He thinks that Mai is just another money grabbing girl who is up to no good. They get into fight all the time. The grandfather wanted them to end up together so he concocted many schemes just for them to get closer. He even instructed Feng Jin to tutor her on the right conduct, etiquettes becoming of an heiress for her coming out party. She thought he was just being so mean with the way he trains her. She did not know that he was just doing the same thing to her what her grandfather did to him a long time ago. She tried going back to her former home only to find out that by doing so she is jeopardising her foster parents future because they both work for his grandfather's company. She did not have a choice but to go back to the mansion and endure his training...

This complete tv drama revolves around a teen girl named Xiao Mai, who wishes that she was rich princess. Xiao Mai lives on "the other side of the tracks" in a rundown apartment with her parents. Xiao Mai cannot afford even to pay school tuition, but she dreams that someday she is going to own a mansion, and that she will never have to worry about money problems again. One day, a rich butler comes to greet her parents at the door, wishing to take Xiao Mai back to his rich master, for she turns out to be the granddaughter of a wealthy man. While there, Xiao Mai encounters one of the three dukes; Jin, her equal. As the story unfolds, Xiao Mai constantly finds herself a pawn in the mind games of the rich. Xiao Mai learns the demands of the rich, and that money is not the cure, but sometimes even the root of the problem. A love story unfolds between Jin and Xiao Mai, but only under discretion. If you are a fan of Hana Kimi, Boys over Flowers, Butterfly Lovers, or Mendol, I recommend this series! If you are a manga reader, this series reminds me much of the manga book, Ultimate Venus.

I love this drama. Of course, I am a Fei Lun Hai fan, but love the series...Jin (Wu Chun)plays such a serious role...esp when they first met, he was trying to test her. He's so mean...(lol) and of course Cai's role (Calvin Chen) is the always fun loving character...(Like Calvin as this character more so than his serious side in the KO series, (if you like Calvin's playboy character watch also Mo Mo Love and Love Buffet)... if you like romance comedies...this is a great series...usual poor girl turns out to be heiress and falls in love with handsome rich guy...always a happy ending...I especially like the ending because handsome rich guy gives up wealth to be a normal average worker and girl becomes the executor of her grandpa's estate and business...from cinderella to queen, good drama!
Question, why do the guys always mean to the girls they fall in love with in the beginning?...ie>
Boys over flowers, Hana Kimi, etc...lol

Love this Drama! I think i watched this 2-3 times already and it doesn't get old! All the guys in the drama are so cute and the leading girl role is pretty as well. Your modern day cinderella story. I'd watch it all over again!
