Tim Maia's rich and melodious voice is front and center in these songs, which cover 20 years of some his greatest hits, including my all-time favorite "Meu País / Chocolate." For non-Portuguese speakers who are interested in learning the language, Mr. Maia sings generally clearly enough that many of the words can be understood. This CD is an indispensable addition to any MPB / major Brazilian artists collection and is sufficiently versatile to be played on practically any occasion, from lounging around the pool to eating the Thanksgiving turkey. Highly recommended.
