Book Description

A Romantic's Passion is a story of love, passion, obsession and the madness of one man's heart. Divided into five chapters (Romance, Letters, Love, Desire, Passion) and interspersed with journal entries, photos and other memorabilia, over 130 poems in A Romantic's Passion chronicle the poet's, torrid love affair with his muse.

Editorial Reviews

Like an Elizabethan drama in the 21st century, Valentinno's A Romantic's Passion: the Tenth Muse is one of the most unexampled anecdotes of love that will enrapture your heart with old romance. This collection of poetry, prose, essays, and letters are expressions of the poet's most intimate and genuine experiences of love and devotion. Written by, and considered to have approached the language as well composed as the great love poets of the past centuries, this is simply literature at its finest.

  • Book Review Buz

This book is nothing less than genius! I see this wonderful ethereal quality harkening to the romantic era. Valentinno's work reminds me of Byron with a bit of the idealism of Keats.
  • -The Examiner
"Valentinno is a romantic in the best sense of that word. He captures the divine romance of life through his prose in a brilliant book called "A Romantic's Passion: The Tenth Muse." His words come across as if they were written by a 15th century monk who is high on the spiritual bliss of Holy Communion. One can feel this inner joy and "light" he projects with images from his words and phrasing -

Valentinno's poetry evokes those same sacred feelings that come from the work of other divine and mystical poets such as Radindranath Tagore, Rumi, and Paramahansa Yogananda in his book of poems called "Whispers from Eternity."

If he had been born in another time or place, he could have well been friends with the likes of Blake, Shelley, Keats or Lord Byron. This is tall company but I believe that he is of that same kind of romantic DNA

5.0 out of 5 stars Great compilation of beautiful poetry November 21, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
I borrowed this book from a friend because she told me that I just HAD to read it. This book is compilation of poetry and photos by Valentinno, a native of Queens, NY who is a master of putting his love and passion for his muse onto paper. This book is a little hard to describe, because I don't think my words can really do it justice. It's a fairly large collection of romantic poems that are just magnificent. Romantics will eat this book up and non-romantics may be romantics after reading this. The easiest way for me to describe this book is to simply say that it makes me want a man to love me half as much as Valentinno loves his muse.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simply Exquisite February 23, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
If there were just two words to describe this collection of romantic poetry and prose, then those two words would be "simply exquisite". There is nothing that I could write that would ever do the work contained between the covers of "A Romantic's Passion: The Tenth Muse" any justice whatsoever.

From the first verse, to the very last picture, I could do little except to become caught up in the magic that was created by this poet. It is no wonder that Valentinno has been compared to Byron and Keats and other great romantic poets.

This is one collection that any romantic should have on hand to read and reread.

4.0 out of 5 stars Love. December 8, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
To sum this book up in a few words is bit criminal.
Let me divulge:
The poet is in love. It is obvious through every single word that has spilled onto the page of his book. His passionate descriptions throw him from God's most humble thankful man that prays a great thanks for his love to that of a heretic, and back to God again. Sometimes in the same verse.

I must note however that this book reminds me more of haiku poems than your regular poems, and while having been raised on Pushkin and the likes, I still appreciate the way Valentinno admits his love once and again and in such a delightful prose.

On a side note - I'm not entirely sure, but methinks there could have been a couple of commas missing. But who cares - it's an original work, and it's very lovely.

I am looking for Valentinno's future works - where his unique style will tell a different tale. If no other reason but to see few different emotions described as skillfully as Love has been in this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Scribe From the Soul October 23, 2012
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
As the times change, poetry remains the same. Especially if one writes from the heart and soul. Valentinno is such an author that writes from the heart and soul. One can see and feel soul kisses from him to his muse. Following along through the book, one enjoys an adventure of love and romance. This is a must buy book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Passionate, Sensual, Spiritual, Enthralling! March 16, 2011
Words to entice your lover! The poems, prose, and pictures are interwoven to present a tapestry of love everlasting. I usually zip through books but this book summoned pondering, pausing to catch my breath in the sea of sensuality coupled with spirituality, demanding to be read in candlelight and shared with the love of my heart. 5.0 out of 5 stars Great! February 23, 2011
This review is for The Romantic's Passion: The Tenth Muse by Valentinno.
From the first line I knew this poetry would be a collection of delicious words. Words to savor long after read. But to put into review what the author, Valentinno, has already done so magnificently would be an injustice, but I will try.

Laced often with spiritual uplifting undertones, this collection of romantic poetry, letters, journal entires, and images, is a must-read for the romantic in all of us. Perfect for that Valentine Day, Wedding Day, Anniversary. Perfect for simply sitting on your porch with a warm cup of tea, enjoying the day.

His poetry feels natural, not forced, and elicits images of Earth, nature, God, the Spirit, eternity, heaven. As if reading words from an old fashioned romantic story book, his poetry transcends time and lifts your spirit to a place of absolute beauty.

"My noble Lady,
I love you with everything I revere. When I draw from your lips to commit that holy sin, it feels like the world has stopped, at that very moment in time. I cannot live without you, my lady, and for that I would give my life."

Highly recommended to the lover in us all, to your significant other, to simply adore the beauty within yourself again.

5.0 out of 5 stars amazed! March 1, 2011
Format:Hardcover|Verified Purchase
Life is priceless and we make the most for each day to count, as we think of the passion of love- reading Valentinno's words brought me back to the way I felt when i was once in love, i can compare this feeling to the movie "TItanic." The images were real life not just acting poses... I admire that Valentinno expressed his love. We need more books like this. I call it the "bible of love!"
