I love this album. I've been eagerly awaiting its arrival. I've been a fan since the very first moment I heard Ander's voice on the EP FIVE. He's authentic and he has great taste in music design... his choice of instrumentation to offset his distinctively rich, stylish voice is impeccable. ROMANTIKA infuses trumpet, saxophone and piano into exquisitely crafted pop melodies with intelligent lyrics embracing love with rhythmic, sophisticated grooves... not so different than say, Sting or digging a little deeper, Bryan Ferry. The NYC-based songwriter, is originally from Sweden. His boyish good looks and penetrating stare fill the deliciously artful cover... possibly making it worth bypassing the download and opting for the tactile experience. Even the coolest hearts will find traces of warmth that they forgot existed upon hearing ROMANTIKA. Long time friend Quincy Jones states that Anders' honest and original love songs are giving romantic music "a brand new chance." It's all about soul with Anders Holst... and real, rich love songs for a brave, new world.
