Present to my wife. She and I love to camp with our kids. Recently a friend showed us pie irons and we made sandwiches and apple pie (creatively) also made corn dogs. This recipe book gives us a lot of new ideas. Highly recommend it.

I adore this tiny cookbook. It brings me back to all the times of camping as a kid with my grandfather. Some recipes are no-brainers but the cookbook also gave me ideas i may not have thought of one my own. If you have a pie iron I suggest getting this cookbook as well for inspiration.

I also ordered Rome's #2011 Creative Pie Iron Cooking Book and found many of the receipes were also in the book Pie Iron Receipes. Save yourself some money and just buy one or the other. And just to warn you I found the book Rome's #2011 Creative Pie Iron Cooking Book at a camping store for almost half of the cost Amazon charges. Just to clarify, the camping store did not have the book on sale, their normal price was almost half what Amazon charged. I found the booklet to be very small and not worth the price I was charged. With that said I did find the receipes interesting and plan to try some of them in the near future. To wrap up my review...the receipes were good but I was overcharged for the book. I think $7.99 to $8.99 would be a fair price to charge.

You must have a Pie Iron recipe book if you have a pie iron (who goes camping WITHOUT a pie iron anyway?) LOL. Good ideas in this book..

Good recipes for camping and easy to understand instructions. Looking forward to camping in the summer.
Good value, good condition

Just received this book in the mail today and tore right into it! The recipes seem tried and true with no strange ingredients. I can't wait for Spring and the beginning of camping season.

If you have pie irons you need iron recipes. This little book fits the bill. I keep it in my camping box and when I start to plan a camping trip this is one of the first things I pull out. there are recipes for breakfast, lunch and dinner plus some awesome desserts. My picky eater son loves to help chose what we will be eating.

We used several of the recipes and ideas in this book on our last camping trip- best food we've ever had. If you haven't tried pie iron cooking, you're missing out. We had six adults and ten kids, six pie irons in constant rotation. Put out a nice buffet with suggestions from this book, and everyone had a blast- pizza pockets with pesto, chicken, garlic, green onions, peppers, pineapple, ham. Oh yes. . .we did. Loved it.

This cookbook is indespensable when camping. Pie iron cooking is so easy, flexible (you can get really creative), and the kids can do it, too (with your supervision, of course!). Don't pass it up

I was not impressed with this cookbook at all. I figured it would have more information on the pie irons and more complicated recipes than sandwiches (which anyone could have easily figured out themselves). I would definitely not buy it again.
