I now have several of these maps and they are GRRREAT!!! Rome, Venice, London, New York, Florence to name a few.

Hardy tough and well thought out with good detail. One side is all map and the other is brief highlights of the city and some facts, listings, top sights and break out of the "quarters" of the city.

Small and compact perfect for traveling. And it includes rail lines and bus routs in great detail.

If you want a good travel map of a city, don't hesitate, get it, you won't be disappointed!

This tiny map comes folded 3"x3" very convenient for those who want to pack light and get the lay of the land before arrival. I will often look at areas on google maps or google earth and then locate them on my little map for future reference. I bought one of each for Rome, Florence and Venice for my upcoming travels in Italy.

I took probably 3 or 4 maps with me when I went overseas to study in Rome for a semester, and this one ended up being my very favorite. Streets, piazzas, churches, parks, museums, stations and sites were identified much more comprehensively and clearly than in any of my other maps--although, I did wish it had a bit more of Trastevere on there. Also has a little 5"x5" section for the area surrounding Rome, which was a great reference for day trips. It held up very well despite being used almost every day for three months and because it is smaller, I could take it out without having to look too much like the stereotypical tourist. Rome is crazy, particularly when you get into its medieval city planning, so no guidebook is going to have all the alleys and hidden streets. Part of the experience of the city (and traveling in general) is getting lost, but this map helped me coordinate myself when I needed to.

We're planning a trip to Italy and recently purchased this map and the Venice Pocket-Pilot. We used the Pocket-Pilot maps last year when we went to Germany and the Czech Republic and they were great! The subway maps are extremely helpful. You can normally get free maps at your hotel, but we found that they were tiny and hard to read. Plus, if it rained, they were toast. This one's great because it's laminated. I would definitely recommend these to anyone traveling!

This map will get you around Rome and help you find your way to major sites and back to your hotel, but you're still going to get lost searching for the great little restaurant you read about. Rome is full of tiny little streets and alleyways that no portable map could realistically cover, but once you get back to reasonably sized street this map will get you to (or at least close to) your next destination.

After going over many options for maps in my local bookstore, and several chain bookstores I choose pocket pilot. It is made from a tear resistant/water resistant material, its the perfect size, very readable and easy to fold.

I was looking for a more detailed map of Rome with more streets. This map is just like the ones that some of the Rome hotels have for distribution in their lobbies.
