A well done short documenatary.,

Perhaps the best of the Lost civilization series. This a well done short documetary. It provides a good potrait of Rome and its empire. It teaches about some of the emperors, and provides an interesting potrait, not only of the govrnment and military history of the empire, but also of the daily lives af the Romans. However it only gives a small potrait of the Roman civilization and is not incredibly thorough.

A good tool for teachers who are discussing the history of the Roman Empire. This 48 minute documentary gives an overall view of the Roman civilization. While it doesn't go in-depth, it does give enough detail to make it interesting. I would recommend this tape for someone who is just learning about Rome and needs background information.
