Here's a book written especially for men (by a very perceptive and clever woman) that is packed with great relationship ideas. It is organized around a sports theme (football plays...chunking of information and the baseball diamond....the proper sequence) in order to make the information more palatable to the male psyche.

Many ideas in this book are designed as reminders for men to be thoughtful and creative about showing sincere appreciation for the woman in their lives. The ideas are presented neatly with a clever title (example: Big Bully: Don't be hurtful in the heat of the moment.) followed by how to do it (Example: Don't say anything to hurt her feelings. No name calling, no telling her she's worthless, no putdowns of any kind. Even after the argument is over she won't forget this kind of hurt.) and a coach's (woman's) helpful insight on the matter (Example: It's going to be hard for her to make you happy if she's not happy.)

There are other ideas that are meant to stimulate a man's creativity in the romance department (that may or may not work for the particular situation) like: Celebration: Make it fun with confetti, Chocolate Kisses: Use chocolate kisses to express your love, Splash Down: Play in the rain together, Illusion Maneuver: Watch the clouds roll by together, etc.). I know that some people may reject these kinds of suggestions, but that's the whole idea of this book: pick and choose what works for you now and keep the rest in the back of your mind in case the mood or situation changes.

In addition, this book ends with a plan of action that offers men a chance to organize what they've learned so that they can get immediate results in their own lives. This is a missing feature in a lot of similar relationship books.

I know there are several other books written for men on how to be a more loving and romantic love partner. This is one that is easy to read and filled of a wide assortment of helpful suggestions to fit almost every man's love situation. It is written by a woman with a subtle sense of humor and an understanding of what men want and how to relate to them in their own language.

Man-o-man was I doing things wrong. Ever since I got this book my wife has turned into my dream woman! Guys, the saying is true, "When She's Happy, He's Happy". It is so easy to read, less than a paragraph in each play. I only have to read a paragraph at a time to find out what to do. It's the easiest relationship book I've ever seen! Plus it looks like I'm reading a football book and not some wimpy relationship book. If she's angry about something, I now know why. If I want a goooood evening, I look up romantic ideas and Home Run - Setting the mood for intimcay. She is so happy with our relationship that she is always trying to please me now.
I like Romeo's Playbook so much, my buddy is getting married next month, I'm giving him a copy!

The suggestions made in this helpful little volume are so sensible and on-target that you'll be wondering how they didn't already occur to you last time you tried to come up with an idea for a special evening with a special someone. Fact is, men's brains don't work that way; we need a little help. THAT is what Lisa Hunter has provided, and in a fun way.

If you ever need to know what to do to keep your relationship hot, this is the book! No psychological mumbo jumbo. A straightforward game plan. Give her what she wants and you get what you want. A win-win situation!

Congratulations to L.A.Hunter. This book totally pulled me in! Romeo's Playbook is cleverly written with the male species in mind, from cover to cover. But I would have to say, I was thoroughly entertained throughout!! Every new bride-to-be should buy this book for their new grooms. Not only will they appreciate the clever, easy for men to read format(even those who hate to read anything but the sportspage), but they will actually learn a few things along the way. It's a win/win situation for both men and women. And ladies, they will never know what hit them! Kudo's, L.A. Hunter!!!

Hunter's goal in writing this book is to show how simple it is to change a poor relationship into a loving, rewarding, and exciting one. Hunter is writing this to men, sharing insights into a woman's expectations, enjoyment, and emotional and sexual needs. The book features a sports theme. This format is to attract a man's attention. This approach also will hold your attention as the reader. The book is to help you strategize and execute your Romeo playbook. The author takes you through the steps of getting off the bench, moving to first base, then on to second, and third base, and finally to hitting a home run.

The author presents a suggestion for action. This is followed with a position statement, a plan for execution, and a coach's tip. Chapters include intellectual acts to insure your partner's self esteem. This chapter gives pointers on the importance of touch, of being a gentleman, the importance of romantic dates, and of gift giving. Hunter then moves on to setting moods for intimacy.

The book includes a chapter called "Coach's Extras" with helpful lists. and a helpful bibliography.

The final chapter is entitled "Record Book". Templates are provided for keeping a record of your plays and for creating your own personal romantic game plan.

Simple suggestions fill each chapter. Ideas are given for endearing communication, planning simple informal, meaningful dates, to more formal celebration occasions. I am already planning my next week's strategy. Hunters suggestions help will put a smile on the face, and a twinkle in the eye of that special someone in your life.

I just got this book in the mail today. I started to read it before I gave it to my husband. Let me tell you, I was getting turned on just thinking about him doing some of this stuff. I can't wait for him to read it and start doing his thing with me. It's not only GREAT but its easy to read. I've done a million things for my husband and after reading only a few things in this book. I have new ideas. Of course I'm going to give him some time to do them first :)
