Steve from Miami..As a huge supporter of the reggaeton movement or latin artists in general i have to poke my nose in the scene and take a "wak" of whats the hottest and latest. So what did i sniff here? ever been to a horse stable before? for those of you who haven't it smells like sh** yes i said it rompe diskotekas is more like rompe billetera (wallet breaker)it's a horrible mixture of supposed rap n reggaeton and i'm outraged i paid for it.It was my second roc la familia purchase (the second 1 was the nore la familia kinda dissapointing also read my reviw before buying) needless to say they both sucked so does roc la familia. So why 3 stars well, although most of the beats are repetitive and ja-rule sounds horrible over reggaeton beats, this album does have one outstanding single yes "EL telefono" which is about one of my favorite past times when i was a younger boy. This single is HOT and with Wisin and Yandel blessing the track, and some amazing beats you can't go wrong.I still wouln't pay for that single alone though so you could just d/l that one, aside from that this concludes me from buying anymore roc la familia albums their producing is horrible. For a better option go with wisin and yandels new album(see my review on that 1)and if you don't like wisin and yandel or hector el father then go buy an alan jackson album...holla!!!

This has got to be one of the fresher and better reggaeton albums thus far. Reggaeton has come a really long way. I think it all started with Sangre Nueva when Naldo and Hector El Father started presenting the new faces del genero. In his first solo, Hector does NOT disappoint. Collaborations ranging from Alexis y Fido, Yomo, Franco "El Gorilla", Don Omar, Polaco, Zion and Wisin y Yandel... they all bring something totally different to the track. Franco with his hardcore in your face lyrics, Don Omar with his lyrical prowess, Zion to soften it up, this album gives a lot of ranges del genero. My only problem with this album and most likely future reggaeton albums, its starting to become more and more mainstreamed. Reggaeton got to where its at through the underground market on mixtapes, where there are cults for this genero. If Hector, "El Father" as he calls himself signed with Roc-A-Fella, more will continue to follow suit in signing with major labels. Daddy Yankee was one of P. Diddy's big signings to his Bad Boy Latino. I'm afraid that reggaeton will become watered down to the involvement of subpar rappers from the rap scene. I.E. - G-Unit involved with Daddy Yankee's Remix of "Rompe". Reggaeton needs to stay where it came from, the streets of PR and not the streets of NY. Ya feel me?
