What have we left to expect from the frontman of Irish pop group Boyzone? Four top albums and more number one singles to count..we've heard it all already, right? WRONG.

Putting aside the typical Boyzone fluff for a second, let's concentrate on the brains behind that operation: Ronan Keating. Teaming up with music-writing geniuses such as Pat Leonard, the BeeGees, Bryan Adams and the self-declared "next Mutt Lange" - ex-frontman of the New Radicals - Gregg Alexander, Ronan has managed to combine their professional song-writing skills with his powerful Irish tenor voice and a soaring array of backing intruments and vocals. And what is the ending result? A winning formula of great pop tracks created by a true team effort. What more could you ask for, really?

Up-tempo is right up Ronan's alley. It's quite shame Boyzone never released a lot of good up-tempo songs, because this guy has some pretty impressive soft-rock tracks. The two tracks written by Gregg Alexander are the definite gems on the album: "Life Is a Rollercoaster" (simplistic but catchy and damn addictive) and "Heal Me" (soaring, up-lifting..close your eyes and enjoy the ride!) "Keep On Walking" sounds like something Gary Barlow would've done, but will still make you want to sing along out loud. And how can we forget Irish pop? "If You Love Me" sounds like a cross between the Corrs and Shania Twain - fast, furious and fun!

Oh sure, typical "Boyzone"-like ballads are a-plenty, the better ones being "In This Life" (a cover - yes old habits are hard to break), "If I Don't Tell You Now" and "Once Upon a Lifetime" - a track that's so chilling it could give Elton a run for his money..

If you like soft melodic rock, Irish pop and/or symphonic, Lloyd Webber-like numbers, this album is for you. Designed to suit a vareity of tastes and audiences, 'Ronan' is genuine, unique and straight from the heart. Get it now!

The lovely Ronan Keating has finally released his debut solo album without all the 4 other guys of Boyzone hanging round in the background looking awkward. Ronan has always been more talented than the average boy band star and if you want proof, then listen to this album. Ronan's sexy Irish voice runs through all the tracks, most of which are slowies like those from his Boyzone days, but there is clear talent showing through. The track which really does stand out for me is 'When you say nothing at all', you will probably know this from the film 'Notting Hill' when Hugh and Julia share their first kiss in the park. However there are also songs like 'Rollercoaster' which give me the sudden urge to jump around and sing that oh-so catchy 'na na na na na' tune. This album is basically a happy album from Ronan who is a really lovely (not to mention attractive) guy.

I've been a HUGE Boyzone fan eversince the very beginning.. seven years ago.. .. But after listening to this CD, it truly proved to me that Ronan is the one who deserves it all! This album is the best you've ever heard! I mean you'll just love all the songs! My personal favorite is "In This Life" which is probably the sweetest most beautiful song I've ever heard! With this album, Ronan proved that he can go all the way all by himself, and he definitely deserves it! I really have to say... Way to go, Ro!! You're the best! :)

Ronan Keating , what can i say about this young artist ?. I've been a great fan of him and his succesful group boyzone for the past seven years now , a very illustrious career indeed for such a young person. After the success and platinum #1 four albums of boyzone which also include more than 16 + hit singles all of which have been in the Top Ten charts of UK , Asia and Australia , we now have a latest solo offering from the lead singer Ronan Keating.

A good piece of work by him. A Pop Album at it's best . The songs are very nice , a mixture of fast and slow tracks , but assuring no disappointment. Lyrics are well balanced from light hearted to emotional songs , he's a good writer and you'll also find he's co-written songs with artists like Bryan Adams. But the best thing about the whole album is his strong unique voice..This man has a very good voice..its quite different from those soft voices you hear on pop albums.

Well im just a huge Ronan Keating and Boyzone fan , so all you boyzone and Ronan Keating fans , pick up this album , you know it's just going to be a great treat for your ears , and for those who don't know about this person , i suggest pick up the album , if you like pop , you'll love this new prince of pop !

I am Ronan Keating's best fan here stateside, and I have been waiting for so long for his solo album to come out. It was absolutely worth the wait!! The songs on this album are superb, beginning with the infectiously poppy "Life is a Rollercoaster," and ending with the breathlessly beautiful "Once Upon a Lifetime." Of the ballads, my favorite has got to be the soulful and sweet "The Way You Make Me Feel." I just can't help but smile when I hear that one. The up-tempo tunes such as the Irish flavored "If You Love Me" and "Keep On Walking" will have you up and dancing! I am extremely familiar with Ronan's catalogue of work, both solo and with his group Boyzone, and I have to say that this album definitely continues his standard of excellence! My congrats to Ronan on a job very well done!! And I highly recommend that you purchase this wonderful album!!

Having waited patiently for Ronan's debut cd to be released, I was disappointed upon hearing it. Most of the songs do not allow Ronan's voice to be shown at its full potential. If you are expecting this to be a solo rendition of a Boyzone album songwise, this isn't it. The album definitely has a more mature sound than Boyzone's normal bubble gum. The voice is great as usual, but the material comes across as lackluster. "Addicted" is the song to skip. The lyrics are ridiculous and sound as though they were written by a stoned hippie from the '60's. A good deal of the songs are simply forgettable with not much lyrical content. There are some noteworthy tracks like "If I Don't Tell You Now," penned by the great Diane Warren (Because You Loved Me, Don't Wanna Miss A Thing). "When You Say Nothing At All" is by far the best example of Ronans' ability to make a song come alive. "Once Upon A Lifetime" is one of the more beautiful songs. The lyrics are very poetic.

Die hard fans will enjoy the album simply because it is Ronan. Anyone else is advised to listen before buying. There is just something about his voice that cannot be found anywhere else. His unique styling goes well with that little sparkle in his eyes. Hopefully, on his next solo effort, the material will showcase his amazing vocal talent to a greater extent.

A fine work of art by Boyzone frontman. This proves that he can still be the best on his own. The ballads are really good... uplifting. They also have good meanings particularly about life and love. It's definitely worth listening to. Too bad it doesn't get played much over here.

I can't wait for him to get to the USA. The first time I heard him was from a friend that brought some of her CD'S from England. I was impressed. He has a great voice. She also brought the Boyzone Group. Ronan was head singer and it was also great. This is worth a listen. I have to have the CD for myself. I believe she said he was from Ireland. I hope to hear alot more from him and Boyzone. 5 stars

Ronan Keating was great in Boyzone. Unfortunately, his solo effort lacks much the hitmaking magic of Boyzone. Tracks 1-7 are solid, the last 6 feel uninspired and are quite frankly, a waste of space> The stand out track is "Life is a rollercoaster,"however,this cd breaks halfway through the ride. If possible, listen before buying.

I looooooved it! I've only listened to it in the library, in truth, but it's great.

BELIEVE, ONCE UPON A LIFETIME, and HEAL ME are among the best, along with KEEP ON WALKING and IN THIS LIFE.
