10-rail basket, February 8, 2011
This review is from: Ronco Compact Showtime Rotisserie X-Large Basket
When I first bought the Ronco 3000 I bought all the accessories, but for the most part only used the large basket. You can tell the difference between the standard size and this large size.
The standard basket has 6 side-rails; the large basket has 10 side-rails.
I first took turns using the large and small baskets (since one was usually being washed), but found some of the chicken pieces would not fit in the small basket.
Although the basket has a non-stick coating, it is a good idea to light spray with oil to ease washing it. After a few years the coating wears away so cooking spray on it is a must.
My husband was upset that I bought the Ronco Rotisserie since it was rather expensive. A couple years later he bought the George Foreman Rotisserie for less than half the price of the Ronco. But after cooking with both, we found out the Ronco has a stronger, faster motor. This means the food turns quicker and doesn't burn.
It's been nearly nine years since I bought the Ronco. We still use it every week. I would recommend purchasing a second large basket. You can load food in both, start one cooking and as soon as it's done, pop in the other basket (without stopping to wash the first basket).
