Product Description

Amazon.com Review

Kids who find egg whites repulsive and/or difficult to deal with when preparing their own scrambled eggs, French toast, and omelets will delight in this little electric gadget. It scrambles eggs inside their shells in just eight seconds. As a bonus, those scrambled eggs can be left inside their shells and hard-boiled, creating hard-boiled eggs with no yolks in the center--what a concept! Standing 5-3/4 inches high, the plastic device takes up little counter space and works so simply even a kid's parents can figure it out. Inside the device's cup is a needle set on an angle and slightly bent so it can generate a whipping motion. Push the big end of an egg onto the needle and then push down a little farther and the device (plugged into a wall socket with an included A/C adapter) spins the needle and blends the egg's white and yolk. Crack the egg and it comes out scrambled. --Fred Brack

1.0 out of 5 stars Great when it works, but doesn't work long., October 4, 2004

I love the idea...too bad the execution is so poor. I bought one of these last summer and it worked for about 2 months. Ok fine, I did get it full of egg when one shattered in my hands while scrambling. It is just about impossible to clean when that happens.

Anyway, started lo-carb diet so decided to try it again. Bought another one......this one died the third time I used it! At least I can send this one back. The durability factor is way too low for a $25 item. If it was < $10, the flimsiness might be excuseable.

It worked great for exactly four uses! Then it stopped working for no apparent reason. I may try to get a replacement and try again.

while its faster to use a whisk for large servings of scrambled eggs, this is great to use when hard boiling eggs for eggs salad. i think it makes a more attractive looking dish
