4.0 out of 5 stars Take a pill! Scramble an egg.
I have had one of these for at least 15 years! It does eggxactly what it is advertized to do. It does a great job of scrambling one egg at a time.

It is faster if you have a lot of eggs to scramble to do a batch in a bowl.

The only issue would be that it is not really easy to clean. Considering it's eggs and he risks associated with them you need to keep it really...

1.0 out of 5 stars Great when it works, but doesn't work long.
I love the idea...too bad the execution is so poor. I bought one of these last summer and it worked for about 2 months. Ok fine, I did get it full of egg when one shattered in my hands while scrambling. It is just about impossible to clean when that happens.

Anyway, started lo-carb diet so decided to try it again. Bought another one......this one died the third time I used it! At least I can send this one back. The durability factor is way too low for a $25 item. If it was < $10, the flimsiness might be excuseable.

It worked great for exactly four uses! Then it stopped working for no apparent reason. I may try to get a replacement and try again.

while its faster to use a whisk for large servings of scrambled eggs, this is great to use when hard boiling eggs for eggs salad. i think it makes a more attractive looking dish

1.0 out of 5 stars Should offer a ZERO star rating!, November 29, 2004
This review is from: Ronco ROES Inside-The-Shell Electric Egg Scrambler (Kitchen)
After owning several Ronco products and being thrilled, I figured I couldn't go wrong with the Inside-The-Shell Electric Egg Scrambler. Boy was I wrong. I wanted it for hard-boiled eggs. Since the kids won't eat the yolks because they are too dry, I thought **genius** here's the solution. Well, the scrambler has to go in through a hole in the shell. Well, guess what? Where the scrambler goes in, the egg comes out! once you start to boil it, the egg leaks out into the water like a cloud. Inside the shell, you end up with 1/2 an egg floating in water. Ronco's solution? Put SCOTCH TAPE over the hole. For those of us just arriving on earth, please try placing a piece of scotch tape on the porous surface of a chicken egg. I should have spent my $25 on egg salad sandwiches.

3.0 out of 5 stars Works fairly well, for a while., May 25, 2011
This review is from: Ronco ROES Inside-The-Shell Electric Egg Scrambler (Kitchen)
I used one these for a number of years (5 to 7). It came with my pasta maker. I only used it occasionally, but it worked pretty. Eventually, the switch mechanism quit working about 5 years ago. Since then, I've been doing it the old fashioned way, but I do miss the ease of using the mixer. It mixed the egg up to the point where it looked like orange juice when you cracked the shell and poured it into the pan. Depending on what you pay for it, it's worth the investment. I didn't replace it right away because they wanted $40 for a new one, which I think is too much. If it were around $20 or less, I would buy another one. If the product were more durable, I would give it a higher rating, and probably pay the $40.

I really wish that only people that HAVE a product get to do reviews on a product. If you bought it and found it has problems then complain but don't complain because YOU don't think it's useful!

I am tired of reading reviews only to find out that it's a political view of the correctness of the product and because they do not see it as useful I should not buy one. Seems to me that people thought that the automobile was originally a useless device.

4.0 out of 5 stars PRODUCT NAME SHOULD BE CHANGED IMMEDIATELY!, June 28, 2001

Being an Ova/Lacto Vegetarian, a serious Ron Popeil fan, and an Oologist by hobby, I found the Ronco unit to be an oviferous essential for my asbestos-age kitchen. Quick lunches, breakfasts, and snacks are whipped up in the time a championship bull ride takes place (8 Seconds for you non-Luke Perry Fans). It makes egg consistency perfect for mixing w/crumbs for "clumpless" breading. It works quickly, durably, and the feature my hired hands favor most...it's easy to clean. The dust cover is a nice touch, especially since there is a lot of dust in my home due to the construction of the indoor gazebo. Overall, I liked the scrambler. However, the product has a major flaw and I have a serious egg to scramble with Ronco. Recently I got together with my Oologist pals for our Bi-annual Egg-stravaganza. This year's theme was "Oolo-Just Do It!". I brought my Ronco thinking I would be the hit of the party. Instead I was Banned For Life. Oh the embarrassment! You see, when my Ostrich, Emu, Duck, Goose, Quail, Guinea, Pheasant, Robin, and even Platypus egg-loving friends tried the unit, many of their pricey ovum were destroyed. I cannot stress this enough; the name should be promptly changed to the Ronco-Electric CHICKEN Egg Scrambler.

Dude, check this out: This nifty doodad scrambles eggs INSIDE THE SHELL!! How do ya like that? This is the best money I've ever spent! It's very reassuring to think that at this moment, while we live and breathe, there are geniuses in labs somewhere getting paid good money to come up with these kinds of products so we can buy them! The Inside The Shell Electric Egg Scrambler is the king of my kitchen, and I'm considering buying a backup if I wear this one out. Order one, pronto! This sucker even comes with a dust cover!

the only thing scarier than snotty egg whites is eating an all yellow hard boiled egg. Furthermore, usefulness of any product made for a kitchen counter that comes with a dust cover is suspect in my book.
