This makes the juiciest chicken I've ever tasted. Racking the chicken onto the spit is as easy as it looks on TV. The same goes for removing it when done. Clean up is a snap. There's plenty of room for a plump chicken or a couple of Cornish hens. I haven't tried a turkey yet, but I roasted veggies in the spinning basket. Delicious!

I love the pause feature that allows me to stop the spit from turning so that I can add crispiness to any part of the bird. The pan in the bottom collects the juices. I make soup with it later.

It comes with everything too - gloves, video, chicken ties, basket with lid.

This is one of those purchases that makes me want to tell everybody what a great deal I got. I'd give this product ten stars if I could.

I purchased this for my dad and after a few uses, the paint on the gear wheels began to flake off onto the food. He called Ronco and they claimed they did not receive his warranty information that he had mailed 3 weeks earlier, and therefore could not help him. I called Customer Service myself and was told the same thing - no warranty information so no help. I was told to call their Corporate Office which I did. The line was busy for days. I emailed Ronco and received an automatic reply that said I would be contacted regarding my email in 24 to 48 hours. I received a reply email ONE MONTH LATER! The problem is still not resolved....

In 1998 or maybe 99 my husband who loves commercials convinced me, the skeptic, to purchase a Ronco Rotisserie. Now, 10 years later and several moves in which it was dropped and glued together again, it is finally falling apart to an unusuable extent and so I am replacing it with a younger sexier model. It has been my favorite form of food preparation, especially in the summer when I don't want any extra heat produced in the house. The food is wonderfully moist without brining which is especially important in our household now. I can't praise this product enough. And this praise is from a skeptic. Tonight we had Salmon cooked in the basket. Yum. Last night we had a half Turkey breast. More yum. My only complaint is that it doesn't weather continual dropping very well.

You can cook a pretty good chicken in this rotisserie that tastes better than the ones you can buy precooked in your local deli. It is effortless to prepare the chicken and easy to clean the oven. I wait about 1/2 hour after the chicken is done to allow the oven and chicken to cool before removing. This works really well. The size of this oven is perfect for a one chicken meal that feeds a family of 4 or 5 people easily. I have a huge kitchen and would not want a rotisserie bigger than this "compact" one.

I'm incredibly disappointed with Ronco's customer service. I spent a bunch of money to have the oven sent next-day hoping to use it tonight to make dinner. Unfortunately I opened the box to find the heat reflector was missing. I called customer service thinking they'd send it out asap. Nope. First of all, customer service has been outsourced to India, and I was on hold waiting to speak to someone for 10 mins. And second, the guy didn't understand what I was saying. Finally, when he figured out that I was trying to tell him the heat reflector was missing, the very unapologetic man told me I had to register the thing online and then fax my request for the missing part, along with a copy of my receipt, to somewhere in California. I told him it was ridiculous, and he told me that was company policy. I think Ronco should refund my next-day shipping fees, and send the missing part out using next-day service as well. Apparently it's impossible to speak with any sort of competent customer service rep in the States. All I can do is fax or leave a message. I wish I would've known Ronco's customer service was this unprofessional before I bought the oven.

The rotisserie works well and if you follow the directions carefully, the end results will be delicious. Just understand that once purchased, you can't depend on any customer service at Ronco. They don't answer emails. They don't answer the phone. If you order an accessory, it may never arrive and you won't be able to find out why. If you want an extended warranty, buy the one offered through Amazon.

Of all the products we've purchased off of TV & online, this is the ONE and ONLY product that consistently does what Ronco says it will -- cook moist, tender, delicious and flavorful foods. We should have bought the full sized model however but that was our oversight!

Regardless, this is fun and easy to use and gives guaranteed results.

Pros:
Easy to use. Great recipes. Pretty simple cleanup (especially if you line the pan below with tinfoil). Fun to watch as it does it's magic on the countertop. Delicious heart healthy results - we always use this at Christmas to make the most AMAZING prime rib; have also enjoyed making roast chicken, turkey breast, pork chops, and fish in it. We also like the vegetable/rice etc steamer that sits on top - works great and is easy to clean up.

Cons:
Not many but after a few years the wheels started to squeak when turning the rotisserie. I added a drop of vegetable oil to the turning compartment and voila - problem solved. This unit does radiate a fair amount of heat so it is NOT able to sit under a cabinet .. it should be out in the center of a countertop. This can be a negative with lots of people and little children around.

Bottom line: I recommend this unit to everyone who see it and/or enjoys the food we've prepared on it. It does exactly what Ronco promises and for that I give the Showtimme Rotisserie and Barbeque oven 5 stars. Great product!!!

Your food is already half done before your big oven has finished preheating. Doesn't heat up the kitchen like a big oven (requiring the air conditioner to cool it back down)

I bought this item a few months ago and was so impressed that I bought one recently for my Mother. She's amazed at how easy it is to use and clean. We agree that buying cooked, rotisserized chicken with unknown added chemicals may be unhealthy, but we had no idea that simply cooking a chicken this way with NO added ingredients whatsoever could result in the tastiest chicken we've had in years. It won't take long to make up the cost by never buying those store cooked entities ever again.

I love this product! I put chicken wings in the basket and let it spin. Two minutes before I remove it, I brush on hot bbq sauce then serve with bleu cheese dip. The outside is crunchy and the inside is flavorful.
