This book is great and gives the reader a complete overview of how various types of pool tables have been manufactired, and detailed instructions on how to do everything from minor repair/refinishhing, through replacing bumpers and refelting (which was much more complex than I thought that it would be).For someone handly this could save a lot of money. Having a professional refinishing a pool table is very costly ($500 to $1000). in reality most of these folks sell pool tables and would much rather have you spend the 2K and up to replaced, rather than refish. I wish someone would read this book and startup a business to maintain and repair tables!
