2.0 out of 5 stars O.K.
I like 112's first album better than I like this one. I only like really two songs on the album "Funny Feelings" and "Your Letter". Maybe the next album that comes out they will have more soul!

To all those non believers who say the sophmore album is usually a jinx, this one proves you so wrong. 112 has done it again, keeping you locked in from beginning to end.For all those "clubbers" out there, those delicious chocolate men keep you moving with hits like "Anywhere" and "The Only One". For you hopless romantics, turn off the lights, light some candles, and listen to "For A While" and "Crazy Over You". There's even "Your Letter" for those who have been hurt by love and "Love You Like I Did" for those going through the motions. As you can see, Room 112 has something for everyone and I promise, step into Room 112, and you won't want to leave.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great songs on this one!!!!, March 20, 2004
This review is from: Room 112 (Audio CD)
I love 112. They are my fave RnB group along with Dru Hill. I think this is a pretty good cd. Most of my favorite 112 songs are on here. I'm a slow jams type of girl, so I instantly prefer the slow tracks over any of the faster ones

1. Room 112 (Intro)-- I usuallly skip intros
2. So Much Love (Interlude)
3. Be With You--I really like this song. The intro is hot and the chorus is on point. I like Daron's voice a lot and Slim, while his voice is an acquired sound, doesn't sound too bad on this one.

4. Love Me--this song is ok, but is somewhat repetitive. I usually either skip over it or end up changing songs halfway through.

5. Only One - Lil' Kim

6. Anywhere--ok intro to Anywhere

7. Anywhere--Anywhere was hot when it came out. I really really like Anywhere waaaay more than Peaches n Cream

8. Love You Like I Did--this song is so great. Another one featuring Daron. Slim comes in on the bridge

9. For Awhile--I like this song featuring Faith Evans.

10. Don't Go Away (Interlude--This interlude is hot. I don't know if they all sang on this one, but if they did, the harmony is hot.

11. Stay With Me

12. Whatcha Gonna Do

13. Crazy over You--MY FAVORITE 112 song EVER!!! It's so sweet and simple. Great song to tell someone how you feel about them

14. Funny Feelings--playable but also skippable

15. Never Mind--skippable

16. Someone to Hold

17. All My Love

18. You Are The Only One (Interlude)

19. Your Letter--the first time I heard this, I was quite surprised at the ending. Totally unexpected from my angle. But it's a great track.

4.0 out of 5 stars Room 112...Sophomore album, March 18, 2005
By
This review is from: Room 112 (Audio CD)
112's 2nd album which hit in '98 was a hit much like their first self-titled album. The hit single, "Love me" with Mase was on fire at the time. When that single came out, I was in 10th Grade and I musta burnt 2 or 3 discmans bumpin' that in High School. Their 2nd album was a lil bit more direct than their first they were they still gentlemen of Badboy and R&B but this time they had a FEW other tracks different than JUST love, their 2nd single, Anywhere with a lil no namer at the time Lil Zane (Now just Zane) hit the radio and people went nuts, if you have never heard of it, think of it kinda like a prequel to Peaches & Cream on "Part III". Anyways the song was hot and they showed that they were not one hit wonders and could survive here. They do have their signature ballads like "Funny Feelings", "Crazy over you", & "Your Letter", and their interludes are the best from anyone elses cds, no does just lil 60 second interludes anymore like these guys, on all their cds they do this, it is awesome, thank you! All-in-all this album has it all for you if you like either R&B and/or 112. Like I always say...if you slept on this....WAKE UP AND GO GET IT!

5.0 out of 5 stars Sophmore Slump I don't think so., November 24, 2004
This review is from: Room 112 (Audio CD)
The follow up to 112's self titled CD avoids what 90 % of R&B groups fall into the sophmore slump. With lush Harmonies and great production the CD was the best of the three Bad Boy R&B CDs released in the fall of 1998. Here's a breakdown of my favorite tracks and the lead singles.

4. Love Me - A Luther Vandross sampled song where the gentlemen of Bad Boy shine and Mase delivers a cool cameo.

7. Anywhere - The second single with the gentlemen kinda of showed their sexual side.

8.Love You Like I Did - A song about lost love and telling your lover they were the ones who made the mistake

13. Crazy Over You - A song professing love to a new love BF/GF the harmonies are very good in this one

16. Someone To Hold - My favorite song on the CD with a very good message and a mixtape favorite.

19. Your Letter - A tune written by Diane Warren and lead vocals by Q.

All in all a great listen.

4.0 out of 5 stars "Anywhere", "Your Letter", "Crazy Over U" & "Funny Feelings", February 26, 2001
This review is from: Room 112 (Audio CD)
Room 112 is a more aggressive album than their debut, with more fast songs. Also, 112 wrote and co-produced the majority of this album too. Every member gets more of a chance to sing (not just Slim - the Ralph Tresvant/El Debarge-ish one), and their vocals are just plain better - you can hear the growth.

In my humble opinion, this album should have performed way better on the charts than it did; I think its lack of chart success was due in large part to: a) not enough promotion by Bad Boy records and b) way too much competition in the form of an R&B heavyweight at the time called Dru Hill...

There are some songs you may want to skip, but I personally liked all of them to some extent. Besides the ones I mentioned in the title, also look out for "Love You Like I Did", and the oh-so-sensuous "All My Love". Room 112 is smoothed out R&B at it's best. I highly recommend owning all three of 112's albums because as a group, I find them to be consistent - they always come correct.

Knyte.

4.0 out of 5 stars Love You Like I Did, September 14, 2004
This review is from: Room 112 (Audio CD)
Heartbreak. Anyone who listens to it will probably get the same message. A relationship gone sour. Hurt and sorrow. Trying to make hre see her loss.

Some may think it's cliche of a rapper's love song. I listen to it differently. I've heard other 112 songs off their album Room 112, but none had as strong an impact as this one. The feelings being expressed by them are ones I've felt before. I know they are sincere. This is not a song someone wrote for entertainment. These are sincere feelings that are really felt by the group. They put their heart out on the line, as opposed to in their other songs, dealing with degrading women or sex, money, and drugs.

It doesn't matter if other guys see them as soft. The heartbreak and love felt for this girl over power dignity, or lack thereof. I think this song was about getting his emotions out the only way he could- rhythmic poetry, a song. Not originally written to entertain the public but, to express heart-wrenching, pit-in-your-stomach pain and hurt.

This review is from: Room 112 (Audio CD)
This cd is good but not what i would have expected. For all of the 19 songs I wold have thought that I would have liked more than just 5-6. the songs that arent great are average but still listenable becuz of the beats. Really deserved 3 1/2 stars but im in a good mood. Here are my choices for best on the album:

Someone To Hold impressive song squeezed in between medicore songs. Emotional and thoughtfilled and really shows the talents of the singers outside of the lead. Not great vocals but still good.

All My Love best song on the album in my opinion. Has a very Oriental feel to the background. Good Vocals with above average lyrics makes a good song. Backgorund vocals make the song

Love You Like I Did very good song which features another lead singer. Good lyrics with some stunning background vocals

This was ceratinly a disappointment but that happens sometimes Waste pick: Never Mind I hope they stay away from whatever they were smokin on when they made that song. sleeper pick: Be With U Impressive start to the album
