5.0 out of 5 stars Hundreds of beautiful pictures of unique designer rooms
I'll agree with the other reviewers that there is no sourcing. I didn't want sourcing, I wanted ideas which I could use to communicate to architects. This book is packed with a huge volume of amazing ideas beautifully presented. Look elsewhere if you want a guide to furniture sources. Look here if you want beautiful designs which you can use as stimulation or a basis for...

2.0 out of 5 stars No sourcing
I agree with the previous review. It is great for ideas if you are looking for sterile design. If not, you will not like this book. Additionally, there is no source or location information. As a result, this book comes across as purely theorhetical.

If you love this book, you will love "Ultimate Kitchen Design" and "Ultimate Bathroom Design" by the same author. If you hate this book, the other books also have hundreds of beautiful pictures and little sourcing.

BTW: you can find the designers of the rooms in this book if you are willing to go to a little trouble. Their names are written in tiny letters in the lower right hand corners of the photos. A little work with google will turn up most of them. The same is true of the other two books.

5.0 out of 5 stars very handy, January 27, 2009

I'm thinking of different ways to upgrade the interior of my home and I find this collection of spaces very inspirational. Very clean, modern, opens spaces with a variety of natural materials.

1.0 out of 5 stars Eye Candy Only, December 25, 2006

A real disappointment. It is an English translation of the Spanish orignal. There is no identification of sites, designers, owners, or where to go for further information, and the commentary is minimal. The pictures are fine if you want to see cutting edge, high style housing fashions which appear to be mainly European, but there is no way to tell. They are diembodied museum pieces which nobody seems to live in. Other books of this kind have some practical guidance and suggestions. This is strictly a thick picture book.
